Likes

Firstly I liked the campus because it's very beautiful and peaceful.
Secondly I liked the labs. Of my department which are well equipped
Then the clubs and societies of the college are quite good

Dislikes

The administration is not that good as per me.
The hostel and mess fee is not that good .
Then there is vere less no of canteens and food centres

Course Curriculum Overview

I was quite interested in electronics. I think that the softwares are outdated for industrial areas. Syllabus can be modified as compared to industry demand. Frequency is high with good difficulty level

Internships Opportunities

Lot of companies give internship opportunity to the students of our pre final year students and final year students. For example Microsoft offered internship program but I am not aware of the stipend.

Placement Experience

7th semester students are eligible for placements. More than 100 companies visit the campus and approx 80-90 percentage of students get placement offers. Highest is 8500000 Placement percentage is 80-90 Higher education

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is very high for a GFTI . fee is charged like a private institution. 1700000 is the course fee including mess fee and hostel fee. GP Birla scholarship I. Haven't taken yet , I am still in wnd year

Campus Life

Cultural fest , Bitotsav in March .Tech fest Pantheon in November. Deepotsav in November Vast variety and quantity of books are present. All sort of technical and sports facilities are present All types of sports and equipments are provided Not such kinds of association is made till now

Hostel Facilities

Very poor room condition, difficult to survive in. Very bad mess food , need a lot of improvement. Registration process is decent and fee is also good No ,I stay in hostel .I don't have a personal room or PG

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

Eligibility was clearing jee mains with 75% in boards. All the details were present on NTA website. ST reservation, Benifit was just getting a Circuital branch in low marks in Jee mains. Frequency is not high, with quite higher difficulty level. Admission process is decent.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
