Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

When I was studying 7th Standard itself I became fond of Geography and one of my aim was to take Geography related courses in Under graduation. So, I started gaining knowledge about geographical aspects of the World. This curriculum plays a major role because our current environmental problem is global warming this course deals majorly with that aspect. There are some areas in this course for improvement like the syllabus should be in some more depth. Exam will conduct in each semester and the exams are usually simple and by attending classes and by studying small notes itself we can pass in exams

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of my education for 3 years is around 2 lakh which include both Tution fees and Hostel fees. Now there is a tution fee increase and we people are not aware of the reason behind this increase. There are so many Central and State Scholarships that we can apply. Central Scholarships like NSP( National Service Portal ) and State scholarships like OBC Postmatric Scholarship for students in Kerala. I haven't undertaken any campus employment

Campus Life

3.5

Campus Life in our University is good ther are enough spaces inside the campus itself. Annually so many festivals will be conducted. Among that the most famous is 'Ankur' Cultural fest and Sports meet, and each department will conduct fests annually. Most of the curriculum books are available in the library and E- Library is also available. Every classrooms are smartrooms and are airconditioned. They are not giving much focus to sporiand other extracurricular activities., but students can come and play in University ground. There are some student-run social groups and clubs, but in a small scale

Hostel Facilities

3

There are three types of Hostels two is for UG and PG students and other one is for PhD scholors, but in that hostel UG and Pg students are also there. In PhD hostel there will be attached toilet and bathroom and two bunker beds will be provided there will be four chair and bookshelf and wardrobe is available. For other two hostel common bathroom and toilet is available and in room there will be bunker beds, chair and rack will be available to store book. Hostel mess food is average and morning food include Idli, Vada, Uppuma, Dosa, Poha, Poori with Sambar and chatani. For noon and dinner there will be Rice and Chappatti with dal or sambar and other sanji like curry. Registration process for Hostel and accomodation is through offline after arriving in campus they will provide hostel accommodation. I haven't rented a room or PG

Admission

Eligibility to apply for this course is to complete Plus Two in any stream from any authorised board. The application form and all other details can be found in the National Testing Agency (NTA) official website. Through CUET Entrance exam we can enter into most of the Central Universities around India, they offer both UG and PG programs. The exam will conducted annually mainly in the months of March for PG entrance and April- May for UG entrance. Comparing to other competitive exams CUET exams are relatively simple with proper preparation anyone can crack the exam. Admission process should be completed quickly and more efficiently

I would like to tell that syllabus and curriculum they have is student friendly and doesn't give much pressure or torcher to students. Even this follows in the labs where labs are well equipped. I feel a bit less focus on industrial applications

Placement Experience:

We do have campus placements in our college. From 5th sem everybody is eligible to appear for campus placements. As far as I know there were Walmart,Paycheck, aceture, sony and many more. Almost about 30 to 50 students from each department get selected in placements. Not really sure about the percentage but somewhere in 60/100. My plans after the degree is to clear SSB or do my MCA .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum for BSc is simply the extended version of 11th and 12th standard portions in the first year. It includes the same concepts and the teaching method is rather ordinary and boring and doesn't seem to focus on making the students live the subject but is rather focussed on marks and other upcoming exams. A teacher kept insisting us to do certain problems skipping the others considering the factory that it is very important for a exam after UG. She also stated that everyone are most likely to take up teaching as a job after this which shows how narrow minded and shallow the opinions and minds of the teachers are. This amounts for a greater level of discouragement.
