My experience in Shivalik Institute of Nursing

Bsc course curriculum is a bit tough as it is very difficult to cover a vast syllabus in 2-3 months and rest of the semester gies in clinical postings. Tine flies like just a moment of blink and semester is over and welcome to end semester examination. This course needs full dedication and one may need to go underground for studying.

The tuition fee is same for all the four years of the course. There is no increase or decrease in the amount year by year. Its like for management quota fee structure is 160800/- including tuition and hostel charges and 120800/- for state quota seats. Financial aid is given to reserved quota students like sc , st, obc, bpl, etc. Fee concession is given to them. Personally students can also apply for scholarships under govt. Schemes. College also provides placements and offers a decent amount for their job roles but do not offer stipends for internships.

Festivals are usually not celebrated in college. Here they only celebrate certain days related to medical field like nurses week, aids day, tuberculosis day, etc. library is filled with books of use and there is never a shortage of books. Sports and extracurricular activities are mostly seen on nurses week. So e classrooms are equipped with smart classes and some are not. There is no thing like clubs, student portals ,social groups in the campus.

A room has a bed cupboard and that's it . There no study table. There is no common room, study room in the hostel. Hostel mess food is mostly not edible. Menu is the same almost everyday. Quality of food is not good and does not provide adequate nutrition as per daily requirement. The area around the hostel is also not so good. It is peaceful but we cannot connect to delivery people or buy anything around. There is also no facility of wifi and there always a weak signal in my phone.

It was like an entrance exam conducted my AMRU and the cutoff for govt. College was 60/100 score. Minimum eligibility was 12th pass in medical stream. Application form can be availed on AMRU official website. Reservation benefits is not so good some fee concession is given upto 20-25k. Exams are conducted semester wise and internal assessment is included whuch has a certain criteria. Admission process is satisfactory and admission procedure is quite fair.
