As everyone know I like whether here that we can't get in our home town
It's like unity in diversity and people from different places knowing each other
Teachers are great and they are very friendly and helpful

Distance from mandi city to IIT is 20 kms and you will be provided campus buses also
I need think infrastructure need to be developed
Sex ratio is very less, i know it's not needed but for me it is

Actually I like buildings a lot and i m passionately taken civil engineering here in IIT mandi and yes it's up to mark from my observations and teachers here are very friendly with students and help a lot in our academic pursuits and exams will be at a gap of 2 months for every semester

Placement here are going okayish not so great and not so bad and last year one of our super senior got a package of 60 LPA and median is around 21LPA ,as our IIT is still a developing IIT we need to wait some more years to get some whooping crores and many guys in my batch are willing to go for higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is around 65000 for me here in IIT mandi and complete cost of my education for the btech is around 6 lacks may be ...and I hope it will be even less and there will be scholarship for privileged students and yet we are happy here

Campus Life

Here we celebrate fests like exodia every year and it's will be on high for like 3 days with full of dj nights and celebrity performances and we play cricket every day according to our convenience and we will be having inter IIT for sports and there will clubs like Dnd and indian cultural club

Hostel Facilities

According to me hostel facility need to update a little more and I hope it will be for our future batches as new buildings are being constructed and for food I can give a rating of 7.5 on scale of 10 and for rented you need to travel to mandi city

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

We usually get into IIT mandi after writing jee mains and then cracking jee advanced and through josaa selection you can come to IIT mandi and jee actually it's once every year as all of you know and then here it's great here

Why to get IIIT UNA in 2025

Placement Experience:

the placemts of my college is just average about 12 lakhs average package and 30 lakhs max this year but max is 60 lakhs p.a. from 7th sem students starts to get placements and got eligible the companies visited are amazon,flipkart , enfosys and many more'' the percentage of the students getting placed is about 80% till now my plans are to get on acmpus placement the best i can get

Yes campus placement is good I don't know much about it but one month ago one of our fourth year senior get 510000 package on a company and he is average student in their batch and if you have skill then you can easily get a placement so don't worry about it just chill in the college

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from 7th semester. Some of the big tech giants visit us like google , Microsoft, Oracle, Samsung, Texas Instruments, Uber, Paytm, walmart, Flipkart, amazon, etc. Offers made in 2022-23 are more than 150 where company count was more than 70. Highest package is around 63 LPA (INDIA) whereas more than 1 CR (Out of India). Average package is around 33 LPA in 2022-23. Almost 80%+ students sitting in placement gets placed (according to 2022-23 data). My plan is to join tech firm either as SDE or Data Scientist.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum in electrical is very practical and real-life based. in real-life applications, we have to do LAB courses and research seminars with good professors. some courses are very helpful like Electrical Machines, Digital Electronics, Analog Electronics, Electromechanics, Control Systems, Power Systems, Design Practicum, etc. We learn a lot of things from the above Courses. we have to learn that type of course which is based on electrical engineering but our college teaches us some HSS courses like English, Basic Communication skills, psychology and economics. for improvement in teaching methods colleges should take all classes in offline mode not in online mode because in it students can't understand. There are majorly two exams in our college Midsem and Endsem. endsem is more difficult compared to Midsem.

Honestly I initially thought of branch change and college in some what cold place which led me to this college. Our college is moderate in comparison to other iits, obviously you cant compare it with old iits , but yeah its decent enough, having good students and friends. Placement of four college is better than other iits. Some years result in placement ogf good no. of students whereas some leads to okish. The sport facilities are ok. Swimming pool is not of olympic size and it requires lot of time for repair of the sport equipments. Admission process is through Jossa counselling after JEE Advanced. I applied for VIT, NIT BHOPAL, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Jammu, IIT BHU, IIT Ropar, NIT Durgapur, and many of the IITS and NITS. I choose only this so, didn't fill for confirmation for others. IIT MANDI KE ANSUNE KISSE

The admission process at IITs are generally common through a cmon entrance exam all over India named jee mains for nits and then after qualifying in that we need to score good in jee advanced. There are reservations for sc, st, obc and economically backward classes. Like you can get good branches with lower marks. For example in computer science you can get 6000 rank for obc but around 2000 for general candidates....Read More
