Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very industry specific and CSE is very good in terms of placements. And the non circuital branches have a decent average placement. But the PPT system should be removed and new young teachers should be introduced.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 800000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fees for normal students is around 15 Lakhs and there are variety of government and private scholarship including GP Birla which college gives on merit basis. The internships are too good and striped vary from 10K to 100k

Campus Life

There are variety of clubs including technical cultural and social. The downside is sex ratio but overall all people are nice and social. Regular fests are organized where everyone enjoys. There is also a supercomputer and 7 labs to meet the requirements just for CSE alone.

Admission

Disclaimer: I entered the college via NRI Quota and hence my criteria was different. Eligibility: Either the student or one of his parents should be NRI and a calid 12 grade score. Selection: The branches are alloted based on the 12 class percentage only. No separate entrance exam for NRI . The application form and brouchure can be found on the official site. The NRI admissions start around August for the particular Year's MO session and end around October. The areas of improvement currently should be a separate entrance to exam for NRI and a interview round to know the students potential.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

BIT Mesra is mesmerizing!!

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. GPAT score is what taken into account and in 12th 60% or more is mandatory. Also JEE scores are considered but again baby IITs level of score is required and therefore students mostly come through GPAT here....Read More

Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
