BIT Mesra honest review ????

The semesters duration is of 4 months and the course is made as such that it is not that difficult for the students because the students are learning new stuff for the first time. So they made it as such that the course covers all the important stuff that wud be required later in the job areas and made easy for us to learn. The faculty is very good here except one or two but even they do a great job. All the faculties are very knowledgeable and make the learning easy. They are really helpful as well. We have 4 exams in the semester. Quiz 1, then mid sems, then quiz 2 and finnally end sems close the semester. The marking schemes and the syllabus that comes in the exam is very well created so that students dont have extra burden on them. The labs hera are great as well. Some labs have outdated equipments but overall they're good as well.

The best best thing about this college is the opportunities it provides. Big big companies like attlassian and tata provide internships here which can be converted into placements. And the clubs here have such a great culture that the learning s there make it easy to grab internships

The placements here are really good for almost all branches. More than 250 companies come here for campus placements and the highest packages go over 80 lakhs!! If there were no on campus placements the reputation of the college is so good that off campus placements are also easy to grab. And the alumni network is really good as the college build its reputation very early. After all this college is standing strong since 1955

The tuition fee here is a bit weird. The whole course of 4 years costs 18 lakhs which in my opinion is quite high for a government funded technological institute or gfti. Though the college is semi-govt, it feels as if it is a private institute because of the high fees. But with that high fees get 700+ acres of campus with 200+ acres of infrastructure that includesamy facilities and amenities. Because of this high fees many students opt for student loans but the college knows this as well and has made taking a student loan easy for the students. I dont find 18 lakhs reasonable for this college though.

The campus life here is great. The college started in 1955 and in the capital city of Jharkhand that is Ranchi. But even after so many years the college still feels it is far from the main city of Ranchi. But the campus life is really goof. There is an inner cooperative where students chill through out the day and have fun. That area is very happening. There is a lot of area in the campus to explore. And yes this is a tobacco free campus. I would say there are only a few places that have a happening culture but still I'd give it a solid 8/10 because the restrictions like in time of girl is pretty reasonable at 9pm.

The hostels here are great. We firrst years are given the inner hostels which are near the main building where classes take place. The rooms we have are the best in the campus. Though they are single accomodation rooms, the college made us live in double accommodation. I would say it does make the room a bit cramped but still it is good because in first year you do need a roommate to make you accustomed to a hostel life.

The admission process was very easy and very convenient. The college did a great job to ensure that the students and their parents face minimum issues during the process. Before the admission process in the college, it was done through josaa it self and thatsde it very easy. And even in the college the procedure was very simple and easy to understand. The instructions were clear and no issues were faced during the fee payment.
