The hostel facility is at par with higher IITs.
First year have their separate campus for them.
Good competitive environment is present.

Dislikes

Sporting facilities are only for namesake.
Mess food is not comparable to other government institutes.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is trending course. The curriculum makes you adapt to industrial environment. The course curriculum includes content from other branches too in first year which we don't need. In one semester, there are two exams- midsem and endsem. Different level is medium to high.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 1500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

A few companies offer internship opportunities like Amazon and Google. The jobs are regarding digital marketing or affiliate marketing. Interns also work as HRs. If approved, the company also offers PRE PLACEMENT offers.

Placement Experience

From 4th year students start sitting for placements. As of now there is no information regarding this year's placements. After degree one go for competitive exams like GATE or CAT. However placements are good enough.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees is more or less same as previous years. Complete cost for one year is around 4L. No official scholarship from college is available. But there are government scholarship of respective states. Not much opportunities for first year is present as internship.

Campus Life

No tech fest or annual fest has been held yet. There is a good variety of books present in the library. The labs are equipped with good devices. Each class has a projector. Sadly, there isn't anything regarding sports but a small ground. There are various clubs including music club, literature club, fashion club, Dance club etc.

Hostel Facilities

For each room there is a seperate bathroom. Some rooms include balcony too. Hostel is at par with international universities. Mess food is descent. Registration for hostel is done with the college admission.

Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year

Admission

You need to give JEE mains. The forn is available on NTA website. Application starts once in November and then in March. The exam happens twice, first in January end and then in Mid April. Difficulty level slightly more than the 12th CBSE board exam. The counseling fees should be reduced.

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

Great college if the money is not a problem for you!!

Placement Experience:

Placements are good for core branches here at Bit mesra, as compared to other colleges, about 90% students got placed as per I know from seniors, the highest core package is around 20 LPA, main top recruiting companies for core chemical are reliance, jindal and many more!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I am a diploma holder in civil engineering, I had to choose the same branch in B.Tech also. But actually I chose this college because my diploma friends were taking admission in the same college. The college needs some improvements, but the surrounding areas need more improvement.

NSU Jamshedpur : Average university in low fees, overall flexible and decent placement

Placement Experience:

Placements start 6th semester. Companies TCS, Wipro, Deloitte and local companies. Average package is 4 to 5 LPA. I plan to work as a full stack web developer or i will also apply off campus for better softer roles.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

1.The main thing about our campus, campus placements are so good. Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. And the highest package of our campus is about 60LPA offered by Amazon. 4.I planned to work after completing my B.Tech.

Life in NSU

Placement Experience:

Students can get placement from there 5th semester and if they perform well in the company they get internship they will get placement in there only. Many companies visits but some famous companies are Reliance, Byju's, Ujjivan,Justdial, Tcs and mamy more. Planetspark is the company which gave highest package of 8lac rs to a student. Student without backlog gets placement easily. I am planning to do a job and save some mony and do my pg so that i could get better opportunities in jobs.

Choose Future, not Present

I had several other options like NIT Hamirpur, NIT Durgapur, BITS Pilani etc... Now in all the tier 2 nits i would have got either metallurgy or civil at the best but in BITS Pilani i could've got ENI but the fees there was 33 lkh for all the 4 years so it was not affordable for me. This was the best option keeping in mind my rank, roi and fees. You can get here by applying for jossa or csab after you have given jee mainsa and you will get a seat if you get good rank....Read More
