Course Curriculum Overview
I chose electronics and now that i have reached here teachers are mostly interested in feeding theoretical knowledge mostly and there is less emphasis on practical knowledge which can be a part which this college needs to work on exams are conducted every 2 months mid sem and the month after endsems are conducted
Placement Experience
Final year becomes eligible for campus placement and some of company visits here are samsung,ibm,tcs highest package in ece branch was around 40-50 lacs last 2 years and average is around 9-10 lac.i am thinking of pursuing game development
Fees and Financial Aid
On an average tuition fees is around seventy five thousand per semester plus hostel fees is thirty thousand on an average each semester .if u have an annual income under 5 lac there is 2/3 compensation in tuition fees and if u nder one lac than u have to pay only 15 thousand approx each sem
Campus Life
Annual fest here is called hillfair and famous singers or comedians are invited and technical fest is called nimbus.there are number of clubs in nit hamirpur one is english club and we organised a youth parliament which was an exciting event for sure
Hostel Facilities
Each student has got 1 table 1chair 1almirah each,there are 3 lets,4 lets mostly some hostels have insufficient water supply during rainy seasons.meal quality is average here but u get used to it u get rooms based on cgpi of last sem
Admission
For admission we were given three days to bring and submit fee receipts and valid documents like medical certificates, admission letter etc.. everyone came to register on the very first day which resulted in crowd gathering and it was hectic and rather slow very long lines were formed.students should have been called branchwise
