I just like the campus life there. And you just get decent opportunities again despite not having a good rank in jee.
You get good opportunities because of the old alumni network.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is same as other engineering colleges that old. But still innovation are being incorporated for staying relevance to the new technologies. Govt has been investing in the institute for renovation of infrastructure and adding new technologies for training and teaching purposes. Still it is not perfect. You have to stay in touch with seniors to stay relevant.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

6 th semester students are eligible for sitting in the placement. Various companies from different domains came here and hire students. Although now in recession we faced some problems. But at the end skill says it all. If you are well skilled you are good to go.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you choose normal course (i.e non SSC courses) you will have a fees around 80 or 85k. And normal scholarship for students having non tax payee background is 20k by state govt scholarship. But if you choose ssc then it is 1.2 lac. And scholarship amount may vary based on other category reservation like sc st people got 40k state govt scholarship.

Campus Life

More than 10 clubs are there in our college starting from coding robotics, e-cell to music drama societies along with non official clubs. You will enjoy campus life. Now renovation are being done in the campus. You will get ground gym swimming pool etc in the campus. Not only the college campus you will just love Burla and it's surrounding nature. It is surrounded by water bodies all around it. You will enjoy the evening walks around PC bridge, Syphon etc there and will create life time memories. And not to forget the iconic Hirakud dam.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is available for everyone. And the capacity is abundant. There are new built hostels which are typically alloted to freshers. So first 2 years you will just love your hostel rooms. But the older hostels are just old. But now even the older hostels are being renovated. Meal quality is decent. You will get breakfast lunch dinner along with snacks in the evening. And locally there just 100mtr from the hostel you will find food stalls and also pgs and rooms available for rent.

Hostel Fee: INR 38000 per year

Admission

Typically students prefer this institute after NIT Rourkela if you want to study in Odisha. Since this is the oldest engineering college in odisha even older than NIT so you can expect a decent seat here if your jee main rank is upto mark. Cutoff around 150000 for genral category. You can apply it by participating through OJEE counseling. Reservation include starting from female,SC,ST,ews to outlying odia and other states.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the third year itself. In this placement season more than 90 percent of the eligible students got placed in several companies. The highest and average are yet not known. Several companies visited the campus with prominent ones being Microsoft, Dell, Xerox, Flipkart and more including several startups. After getting a degree if I am able to land a job the ok otherwise I will start my preparation for the defence sector or civil services.

I am in my final year and 80% of my classmates including me are already placed. All top MNCs comes to our campus and currently most students are placed in the ranked of 10-20 LPA of CSE branch and top placement was of 52 LPA.

So talking about placements then the placement trainings get started from your 5th sem onwards and you will be trained upon diff params and from 7th sem onwards campus drives gets started and around 30 companies visits each year and all the mncs comes for campus drives starting from pwc , Deloitte , accenture to tcs , infosys and ibm . So you will get ample opportunities if you have 60% score in your career

Placements are definitely there for coaching centres in my branch. Many big and reputed coaching institutions like akash, byjus etc came for recruitment. More R & D comapnis can be included. the nterview process and the packages were decent for the role offered.

University of technology, VSSUT Burla because it is one of the top government engineering colleges in Odisha with a strong academic reputation and affordable fee structure. I also applied to other colleges like silicon Institute of technology technology, but I preferred SSUT for its better placement record, experience, faculty and alumni network. The environment here is more research and project oriented which helps in overall technical growth, admission process is through OJE counselling based on JEE Mains cut-off varies every year, depending on the category branch with (CSE) electrical. Actually i applied this vssut,burla as my first priority because this is the top and number one engineering state government college in odisha as compared to another collage i applied for and also this college is famous for mechanical engineering as i also applied .So i wanted to get admission to this college and finally the admission also confirmed and i am very happy. No i can not get rejection from other collage as this is the no one state government college where i here. Another college i applied are poor in placement and those are not good in their campous curriculum as i heard so my college is best. The admission process of our college is at first we took perticipated in the ojee counselling process where we gave 5000/- then after the selection happened to this collage this college noticed intimation letter to very one and noticed us to pay the admission fee online.
