The course curriculum is aptly designed and is based on the lines of the IIT's. There are theoretical papers along with practical papers. Also, there are various projects which a student has to complete. Also, there are a lot of breadth papers like technical English, data structures, economics which helps in overall development. So one will always have time to explore other domains along with their academics.

No there are no such programs. One will have to venture out for internships on their own but there are a lot of companies nearby offering a large number of internship opportunities.

Placements are branch dependent. Computer science and I.T. attracts the largest number of placements with attractive packages. For the other branches, the placements are average with a median salary of 6 lpa. The opportunities are for core companies as well as from startups. A large list of companies like zostel, L&t, maruti, Tata etc visit every year looking out for fresh talents.

BITOTSAV is the cultural fest celebrated every March. Then there are a lot of events in the field of robotics, dance, culture etc. BITOTSAV generally has high foot fall from the different colleges and there are attractive nights with celebrity appearances.

The fee structure was feasible at my time and was At Par with all other universities. I believe the same thing applies to the updated fee structure. During my tenure, the fees were 8.5 lakhs including hostel and fees. The per semester fees is around 85 thousand and the mess and hostel charges are around 18.5 thousand for boys and 15 thousand for girls per semester.

A lot of scholarship scheme's like the G.P. Birla scholarship, BITOSA scholarship etc. are available.

Campus life is static and slow paced. Gender diversity is normal. There are a lot of clubs in all different domains whether robotics, dance, automobile etc to fill up your appetite for extracurricular activities. There is a club for photography, literature etc which keeps on conducting events.

Hostel facilities are the best with WiFi, lan and all Hi-Tech facilities are available. Mess food is average and depends from hostel to hostel. The furniture is available like table, chairs, bed, racks. The overall environment is very conducive towards overall development. There are sports facilities also like volleyball courts, table tennis courts etc.

BITOSA is the official alumni network with a dedicated networking website. The alumni are among the leaders in various domains.

There are two exams per semester namely Mid-Sem and End-Sem. Mid-sem consists of 25 marks and ends sem consists of 60 marks. The rest 15 marks are allotted by the teachers in the form of quiz, assignments etc. The lab exams were also carried out twice on similar pattern. But there was always ample time for preparation and there was not too much stress.

I got the admission through JEE-MAINS exam. The notification was released around september. I filled the form online and sat for the exams which took place around 10-15 days after my 12th board exams. Mostly students with rank within 25k are able to bag a seat.

The faculty is very experienced and dynamic. There is a lot of research work going on by the professors and they are very professional. I belonged to civil branch and the faculty strength was good and student to faculty ratio was also very good. The faculties are very knowledgeable and have varied interests in different fields of civil engineering.
