REVA University Bangalore, B.Tech {Hons.}, Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Remarks

The college is great. I am proud to be a Revaite. They say the management was a bit tweaky few years ago but after that there have been no problems. The college and it's management has been improving tremendously. One day it will stand against top colleges like BMS or Ramaiah.

Entrance Preview

I got my seat through CET. My rank was around 21 thousand. I chose Reva because it is an autonomous college and that makes it better than a lot of other VTU affiliated colleges. And also I had heard that it has good teachers and they give a lot of importance to research and projects which I'm very interested in. I chose EEE because I'm interested in the electrical part of science. There are a lot of cool projects in this subject.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is the golden branch of engineering. Needless to say, it might be a bit hard to study but determination will get one going easily as the course is very very interesting. The course is divided into the 3 years. The first year teaches all the basics. It is, from the third year, that the actual course begins.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college provides internships. Most of these internships are unpaid. Simply to improve the skills and knowledge of a student. The student is free to take up an internship of his own and the college will do the necessary. As I have known, a lot of my seniors had gone abroad for internships in various state-of-art-companies.

Placement Experience

4

Job opportunities are high for every qualified student. Big companies like Tata, IBM, Dell, HP, Amazon, WIPRO, Philips, NVIDIA, Infosys, HCL, Cognizant, JSW, JP Morgan and our very own Divyashree groups and many more other companies are the hiring partners. Most of the students are hired by these companies.

College Events

5

Every year there is a fest. A lot of cultural and sports activities take place and the winners of each will be awarded. There are also small events from each department that take place throughout the year. For the fest, various famous people are called for guest lectures or to perform on their own.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is around a lakh for one whole year. This includes the tuition fees and the normal fees. Other than this there will be minimal exam fees collected during the course of the year. Even including that, the total fees is feasible compared to other colleges of the same level. Other fee like hostel fees and transportation should be paid separately. The hostel fees is less than a lakh for a year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is offered on merit basis. Only qualified students are given scholarships. Also students in special quota are given concession in the fees. There is a loan facility by Karnataka Bank. The process to avail loan is simple.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is the best. To be honest, I did not expect Reva University to be this good. There are so many extra curricular activities and every single student will be recognised for his/her talents. Labs are good. They have the latest technology and all equipments are in proper working condition. Competitions on various topics happen throughout the year. There is no gender biasing or even racial discrimination. In Reva, we all stand together no matter where we are from.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facilities are satisfactory. The rooms are spacy. There are many hostels to accommodate all the students. The hostels are looked after by guards 24/7. They are cleaned and we'll maintained. The mess food is really good. One could not wish for better food. The kitchens are clean. Food is really tasty and there are varieties. There are separate messes for boys and girls. Students get their usual breakfast, lunch and dinner and including this they also get snacks in between.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni and seniors are very helpful. They are the ones to go to in case of any problem, may it be academic or cultural. They will look into the problem and help.

Exam Structure

A year is divided into 2 semesters. Each semester has 3 internals and one external exam. The internals are for 30 marks and assignments for another 10 marks. This will be reduced to 20 marks in total. The best two marks will be taken into consideration and will be added to the marks of the external exam. The external exam is written for 100 marks but reduced to 60. The results are given in grades and CGPA.

Admission

The admission process is simple. You will be given a list of colleges and courses for your rank. All you have to do is choose the college online and then submit your documents to an officer. They will check it and give you the seat if all your documents are genuine. Then you have to come to the college and pay the fees. The fees varies for different courses and different ranks.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty are really good. Most of them have completed their PhDs and the rest are pursuing it. All of them have their unique way of teaching and will get all the students interested. They use presentations, charts, and practical approach to help the student understand better.

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities
