Likes

I liked how the course is designed as per the industry standards.
I like how the placement are managed by the college. Its getting better year by year.
I like how the club works. The students are very dedicated and make the club fun place to be.

Dislikes

I dislike how the hostels are managed. The management could be better.
The administration is bit slow, it takes long for simple simple works.
The campus is bit far from the main city, its bit discomfortable to get some goods if its not available in the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is at par according to the current industry scenario. The curriculum is good and it prepares us for the industry. The syllabus is very well-updated and teaches us from the very basics to advance as we progress through the course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides scholarships on the basis of merits. After the semester the scholarship is provided on the basis of cgpa acquired. Overall college students' marks are evaluated together for scholarships, it's not branch or course-wise. College staff wards also get special scholarships.

Campus Life

Campus life is very very happening. There are multiple food courts where students chill and enjoy in the even after classes. Multiple clubs hosts various fests and activities throughout the year. There's always something happening on the College campus and there are some big fests and events in which multiple clubs collaborate to make it happen.

Admission

I took admission through JEE. Sat for JOSAA. And got the college. Eligibility includes valid jee score, 75 marks in boards exam. Application form can be found on josaa official website and all the registration fees are mentioned on the website clearly. Exam is held twice in a year and difficulty is difficult. The admission process is swift and i dont think so it requires improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More

Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
