Basic Idea about IITRAM

One can get admission in IITRAM via ACPC or JoSSA. I enrolled in B.Tech Computer Engineering in 2022 via ACPC with a rank of 3786. Gujarati students get 50% scholarship regardless of their score. Year by year the cut off in ACPC for IITRAM Computer branch in getting higher and higher.

The course curriculum is well prepared. Like other colleges the 1st year students study interdisciplinary courses like Chemistry etc. All the faculty members are well qualified and have niche expertise in their fields.

Faculty members provide summer internships under them. And other than this faculties regularly update students regarding internship programs and opportunities to get experience of the field. Faculties also encourage students to grab those opportunities.

For Gujarati students 50% scholarship is provided for academic fees. This doesn't have any criteria like maintaining CGPA or having enough score at time of admission. Administration also takes care of students and provide regular updates regarding Government Scholarships.

The College doesn't have enough campus area. Not even proper grounds for major sports. But still administration pushes student to actively participate in extra curricular activities. There are different clubs like the sports club, music club and a social Initiative called Dayatva.

As of Feb 2024, hostel facility is basic. It includes 6000 per semester for residence and 185/day for mess. One has to either take both or none. Hostel facility includes a room shared with 7 other students, washing machine (1per floor and 4 rooms at 1 floor) water heater, a desk, bed and a mattress. Mess provides meals 4 times. Evening snack and special items like sweet at lunch and dinner time is limited. Mess food quality is not that good but okay for most of the time.
