"VGEC uncovered: My journey at Gujarat's one of the best colleges"

I choose engineering in computer science because this is a booming sector. Everyday something new is added to technology. the overall course and tecahing methods are excellent. mid sem happens one month before end sem and it is of 6 days. these exams are continously for 6 days.

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.

The detailed fee structure is about 4000 for one semester excluding all the exam fees. The fees for the complete course would be around 35000 excluding exam fee and other fees. I came through pmsss so i get a schlorship of 1 lakh per year. Other then this there is also a schlorship for gujarat students.

Annual and technical fests are held regularly, Most popular of all is the hackathon.Library is also good u will need a library card to go there and all our course books are available there.many groups like nss, ncc are also available. Apart from this many students also run groups like the bachpan group in which they teach small kids which can not afford education.

One room hass accomodation of three having three beds, three chairs, three tables and three almirahs. There is one balocony for each room. The hostel meal quality is average not good not bad an only this is a con for hostel. For regestering for hostel u have to meet warden and she will give you hostel form and after that a list comes for which students have got hostels.

I choose my college vgec over other colleges because of its strong reputation and good placements. no i didnt got rejection from other collges, i got this college thats why i left all other. For gujarat students you have to give gujcet or jee but for other students outside there are quotas and scholarships.

I can say that there is 1 faculty member for 50 students. All the teachers are good and helpful. Teaching style is great but there is only one problem for me that is language barrier, i dont understand gujarati and some of the teachers only teach in gujarati. Exams are held twice in one semester, one is mid sem exam and one is gtu exam. Mid sem is held by college and is quite difficult. The students who are not able to qualify it appear in remid which is held one week after mid sem. GTU exams are the university exams which held at end of the semester.

Girls hostel closes at 8:30 pm and boys hostel closes at 10:00 pm. If you want to stay out of hostel for night you have to submit the exit entry form. Night life is good and safe for girls. Some famous spots are somnath temple, kankariya lake, sabarmati riverfont etc.
