Life at IIM BG

IIM Bodh Gaya has a pretty simple admission process through CAP and SAP. It started with filling out a CAT form for around INR2000. It usually begins in July month. The frequency of this exam is once per year. I am a general-category student. Although the process is very smooth during interviews student need to wait for hours in meeting rooms without knowing their turn so this could be improved.

The MBA curriculum is perfectly curated under the guidance of old IIM faculty and Business leaders worldwide. It provides stimulus to become a mindful leader. It is a perfect blend of Data-driven decisions and an ethical business mindset. IIM BG follows the case-based pedagogy and stimulation labs to foster better understanding. On a scale of 10 semesters, exams stand at around 4.5 with a frequency of 2*6 terms.

Companies like ICICI, BNY Mellon, BenQ, and many more known brands visit each year and offer roles like Data Analyst, Credit Risk Analyst, and Business Development Intern. They offer domain-specific roles like Marketing, Finance, and HR Intern.

The median package is around 16L, and the average is around 14.5. 1st year students have to sit for the Summer Internship Process compulsorily, and in 2nd-year Final placements take place. The campus has recruiters from top companies for both processes and an excellent track record of 100%. I plan to impact society by making this a better place to live through informed decisions.

IIM BG has fees of INR1700000 spread over two years. The complete cost, including the Student Exchange Program amount, is around INR 2400000. But if you are a top scorer or category student, you get ample scholarship (up to 100% tuition fee). One place to approach is the National Scholarship Portal. IIM BG has a state-of-the-art campus dedicated to the nation by PM Modi. I am part of the Pragati CSR Committee of IIM BG. There are several clubs and committees to boost your social life on campus. Our Cult Fest ELEGANTE is a mix of Sports, Case comms, and DJ nights. This is a student-driven campus.

We have separate rooms with tables, chairs, bed mattresses, and central AC. Mess food is up to international standards. The mess fee is to be paid separately to the vendor directly and the Laundry services fee is also paid to the vendor directly.

CAP is a two-step process; first, the CAT exam is followed by the GDPI round. After clearing basic cutoffs, you can appear for CAP interviews. Often, this is a very hectic and stressful process comprised of basic personal and professional life questions.
