More than just a campus : MY IIM BODHGAYA HOURNEY

The overall course curicullum was very well organised . Although the number of courses was at times quite too much that is 12-16 courses however the diversity of courses really helped us . Some of the important lessons in our life for our professional growth came thorugh many unconventional courses thorugh diffrent activites

The college had only provided us with a rural internship in our second year. this was not at all a good experience . Our mentor was not at all helpful rather a pain to us . Our internship was filled with harships and struggles in the rural villages of bihar . More over the affiliated organisation was having unrealisitc expectations of growth and development from us

The IPM students are eligible for placments along with the MBA Students only . There are no Summer Internships offered in our intital BBA term . However students are free to avail of internships opportunity on their own . The average palcments and median placements are around 13,00,00 .

The fees for the first 3 years that is for my under graduate degree was 15,00,000 RS . This covered the basic tution fees , academic fees , hostel fees and also the mess fees . Our semester fees was amounting to about 2,50,000 RS per semester and this was paid semi annually . the registration fees was taken on every new acadmeic year and was included in that 2,50,00 RS. For the next two years that is for my post graduate degree of masters of business administration the total fees is amounting to 16,50,000 . Over the course of two years this fees is also inclusive of our academic fees , tution fees , hostel and mess fees . There are some deposits invloved but they are refunded once the course duration is over .

The overall campus life is extremely joufyul and fun . The number of events organized by our college is numerous and provides a very good balance of studies and fun .Our annual cultural and sports event elegante is packed with fun , events and excitement . the clubs and committies organize a lot of events very often and provide a good transition to knowledge via a fun way

The hostel facitlty if very amazing . over the years it has improved in leaps and bounds . earlier we were alloted a sharing room but now we have been rewarded with a single room . there are over all 9 hostels and one central hostel with 4 parts . a central mess faciltiy keeps us filled with decent nutrituous food thorughout our college term . the menu is not that vaired and at times food is undercooked and unpleasent

A majority of the colleges i had applied to had the same basic course strucutre and fees strucutre . the one thing that majorly set my college apart was the brand name and reputation. Being in an IIM truely setes one apart and its much better than the other private colleges that i had applied to . Moreover this was the second batch of IPM But it was still bakced by numerous years of MBA courses the college had run.

The facutly members of our college are very nice and supportive . they are all very intellecual and push us beyond our limits for our professional and personal growth . The best faulties according to me would be Professor Abishek Yadav , Professor Shashank Kumar , Professor Manoj J . There are overall two exams per semester . Mid semester exams and end semester exams . Altough these exams ammount to only half to two thirds of our grade they are detrimental in our grade . they are taken two in a day in continuation without exam gaps and are truely stressful.

The nightlife is pretty lively in our campus . with over 1500 students it feels very homely and live . there are numerous canteens where the hangout usually takes place and the gym , badminton courts and basketball courts offer an array of entertainment . our college is completely fenced and has a good security offering a sense of saftey . Outside the college it is pretty desolate however all our needs are fulfilled very easily in the college itself
