Campus are neat and clean and have a lush green campus
Faculty are good and supportive and they are highly qualified from foreign universities
Placement are extra ordinary as compare to the other IITs.

Dislikes

Attendance policy of seventy five percent is not good
Fees of the college is on the higher side
According to the fees we pay for the hostel we do not get single rooms

Course Curriculum Overview

Professors are highly experienced in their respective fields. curriculum is up to date as per the new Sikhsa education policy. two quizzes for 10 marks each, 25 marks mid-semester exam, and an end semester of 50 marks for 5 marks of assignment.

course fees for 8 semester is 1300000, hostel fees per semester is 20000 mess fees per semester is 20000. scholorships for students are available for the students on the basis of cgpa. for above 9.5 cgpa student got 100 percent scholarship.

Overall expereince is good to campus size of college is 780, and we have a lush green campus, sports facility is good and a we have grounds for all the game available for example cricket ,football,volleball,basketball etc. lab and classroom are upto date, Club culture is very good and active.

Hostel Facilities

hostel are large in size and mess food are good. mess provide non veg food for the 3 days in a week. hostel and mess fees affordable for the college students. clean and hydine is maintined in college. no pg and outside mess is required,

Admission

You can be eligible for college if you have a good percentile in jee mains. you can get the seat through JOSAA counselling. yes, the college has reservation benefits for SC and ST students. The exam level of college is good students have to work hard to pass the exam. no improvement is required in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
