Entrance Preview

Kerala state engg entrance examination, My entrance score was 200+, I don't remember the exact score, and also an all Kerala rank of 13k, I chose this college because it provides the best faculties for the depth of civil and also its the best in the district.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum is quite tough, time bounded, strict and enjoyable (if you like) since it's a professional degree. Exams and results will be on time as prescribed in the academic calendar of the university. The 1st year consists of common topics for every one that is 12 theory and 4 practical papers both divided into equal halves in the 2 semester Rest of the curriculum will depend on the course you opt. The department of civil is quite simple to carry forward

Internships Opportunities

The college has nothing to do with the internships. It's you who have to find out for an internship and also you are open to search and talk with the companies for giving you a chance for an internship which is a good opportunity to get in contact with some major companies. Anyway, you have to complete 2 internships within your academics. I completed one of my internship from ULCCS Calicut, I have visited 7 sites in 7 days whose estimate ranges from 15 cr to 110cr.

Placement Experience

3.5

Our college has a well-established placement cell. The previous year some companies like Byjus app etc have taken some of our graduates with an ample and colorful offer ranging from 50k to 75k (its big for a fresher) and also some construction companies have also visited the campus.

College Events

5

All the festivals are celebrated in the college like Holi, eid, Onam, and Christmas. The college has a technocultural 3-day event with technical and cultural events running all through the day and night up to 7 PM. There will be a funny union day inauguration too. In which you can have a lot of fun on the stage. Ankam sports event is also a remarkable event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is completely based on the rank and the quota to which you belong. if you secure an excellent mark you will be under the merit quota (40k rs) and you scored an average mark then you will come under management quota (70k rs) then the 3rd quota is NIR this is not based on entrance but on interview basis (100k rs)

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a well-established scholarship cell with a permanent staff he will help you with the scholarship details and education loan details, some of my friends are even studying for Zero fees so you must be going there before you get your admission done.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is an emotion, it cant be expressed in words because it's that awesome. Friends, hostel, dead time studies, class bunk- cricket, volleyball, basketball. Every thing is available there . A campus with no discrimination by any manner only friendship and Love all over.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are now not available for boys so they have to opt to go as a paying guest, there are plenty available near the college. But a well organized and beautiful hostel for boys is under construction. Girls have got a nice and tidy hostel as far as I know and its bit a sort of strict out there. Food in the LH is assessed by the mess reps from among students so I think its ok there too. Canteen is a colorful emotion of CEV with radio halwa in the background. Nice and fresh food at an affordable rate. There is a store with whatever stuff you need.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni is really good they are contributing very well to set up some facilities within the college for the betterment. And seniors even though they were a little harsh at first they turned into some sort of big bros and sis.

Exam Structure

There will be 2 internals each out of 20 and a 10 mark internals based on your assignments and tasks, that is total 50. Out of this 50, you have to score 23 marks to get eligible for the university exams You should also secure a 75% attendance in each subject to qualify for the universities The lab exams are completely dependable on records and experiment completion if you haven't completed then you have to repeat it with your juniors. Year out system is active for credits less than 24 in the 1st year less than 52 in 2nd and less than 74 in 3rd. Theory sub have 3,4,or 5 credits and labs got 1

Admission

After the entrance exam was over and the result was published, a single window admission system was opened by the kerala govt , where i selected the courses and my desired colleges in the order of preferance, after which i was notified that I got admission for my 2nd prefered college which was CEV . Then i went to the college payed a sum of 40k and got admitted

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
