What Students Say

Likes

I like the infrastructure of the campus.Its quite well maintained
The staff is really good including the teachers and the other helpers
The safety arrangements for girls is top notch .Police is outside the gate during the freshers and any other event

Dislikes

The college canteen is little expensive .It's not for everyone
Attendence fine is high you are charged around 500 even if you only miss Saturdays
Boys roaming around the campus even during exam time

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is good for arts and commerce students who wants to persue computers and in some cases science as well .If you want to learn only computers then go for if but if you are science student and want to study maths physics as well go for bcs.IT

The internship are not that good here as it's a third tier college.Students who wants to study B.a go for it it's the one of the best in Chandigarh but fir other streams I have a doubt .For bca it's almost not there

My plan is to go for MCA but there is placement cell in college which is run by students by supervised by staff .Packages are not that high.Mant companies like Airtel ,tata also come . Apparently highest package are unknown

Fees and Financial Aid

Per year fees is 50k which approximately same as any government college in chandigarh.The college charges you fine for attending mentorship programs.The attendence fine at the end of the year as well .You have to pay 900 as prospectus fee during admission.

Campus Life

Students can take part in different activities.Various clubs for sports ,dance, literature and poetry are also there.I-tech fest for IT takes place annually.Meraki takes place after every 4 yraking the cultural

Admission

It's a third tier college so it's not that diffict to get into . Admission Bca and in general goes on pretty smoothly.Its easy faculty is pretty helpful. You just have to submit the form and check for your name on the dashboard

Normal insights over chandigarh university

Placement Experience:

I think in 3rd semestewr they offer the extra coure for placements and all the placements are good in chandigarh university in the end of the college degre we will get a avg job by their offered placements.

Placement Experience:

1. After 6 semesters the students become eligible for there college placements 2.The companies that visited my college are google microsoft and various other large tech companies and the largest offer made to our students were 1 crore ctc 3. The highest package was 1 crore ctc in our college and average package is that of 15 lpa in our college 4.There are 50-60% of students that get placements from our college 5.My plans after getting the degree is to get a good placement offer if not then getting into an multinational firm

Placement Experience:

Placement cell of out college is quite good. Placemenr drive generally start at the beginning of 5th semsterbof every 3 year course. Companies like DELL, HDFC , ICICI BANK, ACCENTURE, DELLIOTE and many more came to provide employement. Highest package after UG is 10 lakhs offered by company to our college student.

Placement Experience:

Students can attend placement seminars in their last year of graduation. There are mostly placement offers for the role of sales and marketing or chat-call executives. IT companies do visit also but very rarely and they only hire only 5 to 10 candidates. There are sometimes unpaid internship opportunities available too.

BCA in itself is not a very good course that will gurantee your placement in a good company with high package, Its relevance is high only beacuse its easy to complete and get the degree. For good packages you have to do MCA or work harder on your skill to get a good job. BCA helps in building base of your coding career, it offers a good grasp of C/CPP, Java and DataStructure.

Sggs is alright, if you dont expect much

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i was interested in computers and didn't wanted to do arts, and i was underqualified for other streams. Every class has about 45 students, the number vary but not much. The faculty and teachers are helpful. There maybe some slacking by both sides here and there but its alright. The teaching mathod varies. If you know what youre doing the exams are not that hard to pass.
