Likes

Placement rates are pretty good here especially for technical students.
Faculty here are also supportive and help us in all the events and extra curricular events as well

Dislikes

College hostels are a minus point here as students are not as satisfied as they should be
Lots of money that can be used for infrastructural upgrading aree being used in areas which don't benefit the students

Course Curriculum Overview

I liked to get into Information Technology and that is why I took it up. Our college followed the CBCS scheme and I find it sufficient as it covers all the basic areas of Information Technology. We have 2 sets of exams every year, mid semester and end semester exams along with lab practicals and the faculty are pretty supportive.

Class Size: 114Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are pretty good here if you are from a technical background with the on campus opportunities. However for non CS/IT students, you will have to search for off campus opportunities.

Placement Experience

Placements and internship rates are pretty good in our college especially if you are from a technical background. Even if you don't receive a good package, you can always apply off campus or take up anything else as the college curriculum trains us for everything.

Fees and Financial Aid

College fees every year is around 1.5 lacs with 2/3rd waivered for students whose family income is below 5lacs and full admission fees waivered for student whose annual income is less than 1lac. We have on campus opportunities for both full time jobs and internship opportunities which are sufficient.

Campus Life

We have around 5-6 major fests throughout the year focusing on technical, sports and cultural events catering to all of the students needs. All the students in the campus seem to enjoy these mini and major events and participate in all of them whole heartedly. There are various clubs in our college which are responsible for conducting these events and the students join them.

Hostel Facilities

All basic facilities are provided by campus hostels including accommodation, bathrooms, hostel mess, sports courts, etc which are sufficient for all students. For those who don't want to live in hostels, there are various pgs around the campus which is at a walkable distance from the college.

Hostel Fee: INR 54000 per year

Admission

I wrote JEE MAINS exam which is an all India entrance examination for NITs and other top colleges. I secured a score of 98.03 percentile which was good enough to get me admitted into my college. I had a reservation of being an OBC-NCL student which is why I got admission. I wouldn't suggest any areas of improvement in admission process

from 4th semesters companies started to hire students as their interns. and most of the 7th semester students get offer letters . The average placement of my department is 3 lakh per year. 25 percentage of students are getting placed in the collage placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are decent, average package is somewhere around 10-11 LPA and lowest around 4 LPA where are the highest is around 65 LPA. around 70% of students get placed through campus placement. As this is an NIT, there are many intership opportunity and stipend varis from 10,000-35,000 per month. Companies like Adobe, AMD, Intel, Microsoft provide intership opportunities in this college and over 20% students get properly paid internships

Collage provides the best placements in the whole chattishgar, it is one of the few collages in the whole country which have a dedicated drone learning ecosystem. In the 2020-2024 session averge placement is around 11.6 LPA, with the higest pakage of 34LPA and lowest of 3.6LPA. Accourding to ratio of eligible candidate and placed candidate, 9-0 percent of then get placed. Not only the placements, collage also helps in finding internships as well.

NIT Raipur (The Fastest Developing NIT)

Some major points where NIT Raipur stands out over the other colleges. It's Placements, being an NIT it's decent enough for anyone choosing a college in a peaceful and affordable city like Raipur. It's Alumni connections, that make the college foundation really strong. The Student Culture is really good for personal growth, for someone who is still figuring out his/her career NIT RR could be a really good college for them. The Hackathons and CP Culture are awesome Almost in every competition on Unstop, HackerEarth, Case Study competition, Codechef, and Codeforces there is at least 1 winner or a finalist from NIT Raipur.
