Remarks

The department has a very bad management. The head of the department is one of the worst teachers in the department. She is not at all co-operative and supporting. The department never encourages or appreciate the efforts of the students. They in fact give all the appreciation and credit to the students by whom no work is done. The department badly needs a new HOD and some good male teachers instead of the existing biased and egoistic female teachers

Entrance Preview

I didn't appeared for any examinations. I opted for this college because admission was without any entrance based.

Course Curriculum Overview

1

The course mainly focuses on the judiciary. But for the students whose aims are not the judiciary. The course is not much help. The course doesn't include many important subjects. It focuses mainly on arts in the first two years and no importance was given to law subjects. There were also some unimportant subjects in the third year as well.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college does not even provide sufficient time for an internship. They don't encourage students for internship. If a student himself find an internship they never support the student with any help which they can give. The semester exams are always late and no prior information is given to the students so they can apply for internships anywhere. The students from other states suffer the most from this kind of attitude of the college.

Placement Experience

0.5

There are no placement or job opportunities in the law department. A lot of companies visit the campus for placement of students of other courses. But no company ever came or visited for law students. Law students are never given any chance to appear for any interviews. Also, Not even a single law firm has ever visited the campus. The head of the department or the placement in charge teacher take initiative call any company for placement even after so much request by the students as well. Not even a single step has been taken by the concerned teachers.

College Events

1

Every year during September annual college fest is organized in the university campus. Students from all over India participate in the fest. All the department organizes some event. Then there are other cultural events. Last year northeast fest, AIU etc was organized in the university campus. Technical events are also organized in the university every year. The law department also organizes a national event during the college fest. Two moots have been organized by the department in the year 2016 and 2018. Various Seminars, workshop, conferences, paper presentation competition etc, has also been organized by the law department. The department also organizes

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure was not too expensive like other private colleges. An amount of one thousand was increasing every year. The fees structure for the first year was around Rs. 47,000/- and for the final year was Rs. 52,000/- but the fees structure has increased around Rs. 12,000/- which is definitely too much according to the facilities provided in the department.

Fees and Financial Aid

No good scholarship is given by the college. A scholarship of some Rs. 6,000/- is given to 1-2 students hardly every year to the students whose parent's income is not very good.

Campus Life

1.5

The campus life is not very good. The deadline for girls hostel was 5:30 during winters and 6:30 during summers which has been increased to 7:00 pm now. There are sports complex and various gyms the campus. Many tournaments are organized by the university in the campus. Disco parties are also organized in the hotel owned by the college.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is not very strong. The students do not their correct information after leaving the college. Neither the department take any step to contact them until the department has some work from that particular student. Some senior students were very helpful but the department used to give no importance to them. The students who were the least helping is given a lot of importance by the department, HOD, and teachers.

Exam Structure

During the exams, usually, only a day or two gap is there. There are exams on alternate days in most of the cases. Which is quite better too. Then there is a practical or viva which is generally after 4-6 days the final exam of the semester. But the resulting system is very bad. The answer sheet of exams is evaluated by the teacher other than the subject teacher. Most of the time it is checked by the teacher having least knowledge of the subject and as of result of this checking a lot of students are intentionally failed by the teacher irrespective of his efforts in the exams

Admission

The form was downloaded online. It was mailed by a teacher from his email id. Admission was made after submitting the registration fees. Once the registration form along with the Demand draft and some required documents such as 10th marksheet was send to the college address, the admission was confirmed. An acknowledgement message and call was made by the same teacher mailing the registration form. The administration was very helping.

Faculty

0.5

There is mixed faculty in the college. The female faculty members are not at all interested in teaching even a single subject. And also maximum teachers have no knowledge about the subject they are teaching. The teaching method of these teachers is very poor. They give zero importance to the students who want to study. Every year new subjects are given to the teachers of which they have a very little or no knowledge. There are some teachers who choose main subjects and waste the whole semester in other activities and teach nothing related to the subject. The male faculty of the department is better than the female one. They not only teach but also resolves other problems of the students as well. They clear the doubts of students regarding not only their own subjects but of all other subjects as well. The head of the department is one of the most non co-operative teacher of the department.

Course curriculum is completely good. It's so good that you get to know things like letter wise, so it's proper perfect and faculty is also good. They try their best to make you understand. Things can even ask them if you don't feel you got it then, and also they answer you, and they have a good relation with students like not a strict teacher kinda they're open about things and talk to students help them not such academic in their personal life. Also, so that's something good thing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty is extremely poor, The pedagogy is weak and the lectures are the least interesting. Some professors are gems in this coal mine but the wider picture is abysmal. The teachers force you to write and the use of gadgets even for notes is discouraged. There is no academic calendar and exams can happen anytime with prior notification of a month, The results are also delayed; Expect anywhere between 4-6 months of the declaration of results.

In L.L.B. (Hons.), the student becomes eligible for placement after the completion of their second year for PPOs. Also, after giving their sixth semester exams, the students are eligible to sit in placement drives. For law, top tier law firms like Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Khaitan and Khaitan, Luthra and Luthra, litigation lawyers etc. visit the campus for placement drives. Over 90% of the students are provided placements with the aid of the university. My plans also include placement through college in law firm after completing my degree.
