A great college

Uiit lies in laps of nature. Its a great place for graduation. There is no disadvantage except lack of hostel.

UIIT has its own state-level examination I scored 114 out of 200 and I got admission in comp science engineering. I opted to do my graduation in this college because it holds quite a good name in the field of education in Himachal Pradesh.

As this is my first year only so there is nothing much to tell about the research. But yes our college has a good academic record. The Ist year will be common as like other colleges. But after 1st year you will have real interaction with your field.

This is the thing I don't know much about. But yes our college would be providing internship to the students of the 4th year. With a stipend of about 10000 per month

Placements are one of the most talked things about any of the college. If talked about record of placements our college has the very great record with 95% placement and 100% in 2k16. And students are placed in companies like Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra etc and Wipro does mass recruitment. And the average package is about 3.5 lakh per annum but highest is up to 6-7 lakhs per annum.

Our college organizes many events in a year to keep students energetic in college. The main event Of Uiit is annual fest known as Uttkarsh. Its organized every year. And other events are sports meet an annual dinner. Freshers party and farewell party are also one of the events organized in college

Fees structure of Uiit can be said expensive but is affordable. Per semester fees are 50000. And rent of Pg can be up to 6000 per month. As there is no hostel available for students of Uiit. So it's expensive to stay in Shimla. Exam fees of 2000 are also taken from students in each semester .some students may find it difficult to afford Uiit fees.

Students who belong to the Economically weaker section or the girls who scored good marks in the entrance are given the discount in fees and schemes like full tuition fees wavier are also available in Uiit.

Girls are less in the field of computer science as compared to boys and ratio of boys is to a girl is about 3:1 in uiit in Ist year. Parties take place in uiit. And many extra events and programs are organized in Uiit to keep student aware. Etsa council in Uiit organizes every event and its members are elected through voting. No discrimination is made in Uiit.

Seniors of Uiit are very supportive. They provide each and every help that a student needs. As I also got interacted with my seniors and I found them very helpful.

Exam in uiit is not a stress full activity. Exam takes place at end of every semester. Sessional exams are also conducted two times per semester. And external and internal practicals are also a part of the semester. Lab classes also take place but that doesn't makes your day hectic

First of all , result is displayed on the site of institute . After few days of result , counselling schedule will also be displayed Student has to report to the institute as per schedule with the documents , verification proofs ,Marksheets etc. After counselling of students again a list of selected students will be displayed at site .And they have to pay fees on date given to get admission

One thing I must say that Uiit has a good faculty. Teachers are well qualified and Ph.d. holders in their respective field. Classes are regular and teachers show quite a good interest in teaching the students. And it's up to student that how much they learn from university
