Remarks

WiFi facility is not available in college. Also, you don't get the range to your mobile because of an architecture of college. No problem related to management of college they are best after all they belong to the royal family of SHAHU MAHARAJ of KOLHAPUR.

Entrance Preview

The entrance exam required was JEE at my time i.e in 2015,but now it's through MHT-CET. The branch I choose was civil engineering because this college is renowned for mechanical and civil mostly.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is quite good. Teaching is good, digital way is used for teaching.Projectors and screen are been placed in each classroom. The most important thing is that internship since second year is allowed for all students and companies are been brought by the college itself. Help required for publishing and drafting research papers us also been provided.

Internships Opportunities

Yes internship is provided to all the students at the end of each semester. The companies are been brought by the college itself. Nearly all the students are allocated for anyone of the company.

Placement Experience

1.5

This is the drawback of this college. Bad placement results are been observed for many years. Though you got placed you get it in small companies or BPO. And the salary you get is nearly 10000-12000 only. Most of the students are placed in AMAZON and the package you get is nearly 1.2 lac per annum. Core branch companies are not approaching the college. Only a few get placed in WIPRO, TCS, INFOSYS and the package given to them is also quite low as 3 lac -4 lac

College Events

4

Many events take place in the college. Technical events know as ET i.e ENGENDERING TODAY is much famous is all over Pune. Various branches take part in it and many technical competitions are been carried out. Drown competition, structure building competition etc are been carried out under the guidance of faculties. Culture event is also quite good. Two cultures events take place in the college. One is SHIVANJALI and other is ASHWAMEDH. Shivanjali is been founded by college and has the budget about 15 lac and celebrities from Bollywood are been invited. The other one i.e Ashwamedh is conducted by students and GSA team handles it and funding is brought by students by themselves.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite expensive. The fees for general category is about 1.12 lac and for OBC it is 65,000. For SC and NT, VJNT it is too low. EBC facility is present for the general category so no need to worry a lot. The fees can be paid in installments only in the first year then, later on, you need to pay it on time and one time. If paid late then late fees of 500-1000 are been taken by the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility is not available at college itself but you can bring on yours education loan from any bank. Scholarship like EBC are provided by college in which you get 50% release in tution fee.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio is quite equal. No politics is allowed in college. Workshop of various branches are conducted by students and college also. Students are from nearby Pune and rest from rural areas.Marathi is the primary language use in college premises. Hindi on second rank and English is quite often.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel of the college is far away from college it is nearly 10 km from college. Bus facilities are been provided by college. The hostel is at Parvati region.Th hostel fees is nearly 80,000 per annum and indoor mess is available. Mess quality is quite good but close on Sunday so you need to go out for dinner on Sunday.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors and alumni are quite good people. They provide helpful in many aspects like academic guidance, placement guidance and also for project and social and cultural activities.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is quite well. It's not too much hectic and busy. The exams are held under the guidelines of Pune University. The theory exams are quite hectic but the practical and viva exams are chilled out. The only tension is of submissions and completion. Facilities give you a lot of completion work and corrections are been plotted in it too.

Admission

I got admission through CAP round. The state government carrier out the CAP round procedure and you need to fill the form and add the colleges u want. The procedure is computerised and you are alloted the college according to your marks and cut off of college.

Faculty

4

All the facilities are PG so they are quite good at teaching, most of the facilities have 5-6 year of teaching experience and the seniors are having at most 20-22 years of teaching experience. Some also have industrial experience. There approach to teaching is quite well enough.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources

The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
