Likes

Cultural and sports environment and cooperation of every faculty members and students are very good. All facilities granted every time here.
Ambiance of the college is must appeiciable. When we study in college its look like a hifi cool room and perfect place for studying.
Teachers and seniors behaviour is too good.

Dislikes

Locality of GMIT is very bad. Nothing is available outside of our college.
Nature outside our college is not comfortble.
Transportation system is too bad. After completing college class walking is required to go at station.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose mechanical engineering courses because I can switch form core or IT. Our faculty members are 8 and students are 30 so the ratio is 1:4 approx. Faculty members all are mtech qualified and teaching staff is well also.

Internships Opportunities

Our latest package of our college was so high, 10 lakh per annum. A student of civil engineering is get opportunities in TATA STEEL last year. There project was about the beam structure if its transperent how to do this.

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester, we are eligible to become campus placements. Tempcon and TCS companies visited and a number of offers made nothing now. 90% of students get placements from here. After getting my degree I want to move to govt job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our fee structure is maintained by the admission cell in our clg. I am a lateral mechanical student so the fee structure in 3rd sem is 31500 and then in all sem our fees are 28000. Scholarship opportunities are also good here. 1 govt and unlimited private scholarships will be applicable. Govt scholarships like SVMCM and private is like Tata, adani etc.

Campus Life

Our college is conducting an annual cultural fest in February or march. All books will be available here. Extracurricular activities like singing, dancing, quiz, drama and fashion show. Sports like cricket, football, hockey, badminton, carrom etc will conducted by the college.

Hostel Facilities

The facilities in our room are clean room and have two windows here. 4 times meal available. 6days non vej and 1day veg available. 3 bathrooms westerns type, dustbin also available. Per room 3 people accommodated. The meal is very good. Registration of the hostel is conducted automatically after admission. Besides college our hostel is available.

Hostel Fee: INR 54000 per year

Admission

I was an admission by jelet examination in 2023. My rank was 43000. so I was admission to this college, which is situated in Baruipur, Kolkata. Our campus is highly structured and all facilities are available here.

Placement Experience:

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

Our college campus is fully green campus. All teachers and faculty members are highly qualified and very helpful. All the classrooms are well groomed. Library is very good. All types of books are available in our library. Semester fees is comfortable for all types of students. Admission process is very easy. All types of scholarship are available for all students. Laboratories are decorated by updated instruments. Gym is available in our college. Playground is very clean. Many outdoor games (like: Football, Cricket, badminton etc.) and indoor games (like: chess, caram etc.) are available in our campus. 24Ã—7 hours electricity and water are available.
