An average college

The college management is not very great they just no to impose fyn on you. If you forgot to punch your the thumb in biometric attendance in hostel there is 50rs fine per day. And last year they imposed 350rs fine per student in hostel with almost 250 student because one kid broke a door and they have only one cctv at the gate of hostel so no means that they can and if you tell them to install cctv in hostel corridor they tell that they will charge 5k per student for this installation. So they only know how to earn from you

I entered this college through comedk in year 2017 with 94 marks and 10987 rank. I choose this college because it seemed the best institute to get computer science at my rank. Admission process involved online counselling.

The course followed in most of the colleges from iit to this college are pretty much same and they suck because most of the curriculum is out dated. I am a CS student so just imagine you have to study maths phy chem electronic electrical mechanical and all the rubbish in first year which don't have any use in your life. You will be able to study your branch subjects from 2nd year and most of them is outdated and you can't expect to get a good package from studying them.

You can get internships in 3rd or fourth year if you are average student but if you are out of line you can get it in second year. If you are in CS IS or ECE than there is a good chance of getting internship but very less chance if you are in any other branches. If you get paid internship your stipend will hover around 6k to 10k.

Again if you are in CS IS or ECE branch than be sure that you will get placed as these have 100% placement and sorry if you are from other branch you will have to struggle a lot. The average packege is about 4 to 5 lakhs and the maximum package received by any student is 18 lakhs which was provided by Subex. Some of the good companies which come are Microsoft but they take at most 2 student Subex byju etc.

Anaadyanta is the name of the technical and cultural fest and is celebrated very well here it is tge best three days in the entire year. There is also ethnic day and some other small events. Anaadyanta is a grand fest and there are a large number of events to take part from hackathons to treasure hunt and som good show of fashion show and stunt show and at the last night there will be some celebrity to perform and a dj in anaadyanta 2018 neha kakar was the show stopper while nina surette was the dj.

If you are taking admission from cet(only fir karnataka students) then remain super chill the fee is very low its around 50k to 60k a year but if you are taking admission from comedk its 1.7 lakhs a year apart from college fee if you are willing to stay in hostel be ready to pay 60k more and per month mess bill separately

There is no scholarship or loan facilities. If you are willing to take loan your best shot is to take an education loan from any bank.

The campus life is good there are many eatery shop namely canteen,cafe potenza,maggi store,holi, bakery there ia also a xerox centre and a stationary shop. Overall the campus life is okay. But the connectivity to the city is poor. The college lies 3km from the main road and the auto charges 60rs for this 3km.The student diversity is good you can find students from all parts of country and even nepal and no one is gona tell you anything if you hangout with your gf/bf. There is very little extra curricular activities so you are dependent on yourself for developing your personality.

The hostel facility is terrible in my sense the first year hostel is okk as it has 2 person per room and most of the thing is ok but the main problem in first year hostel is that they close the hostel gate at college hour so be ready to get super frustrated. But its only in first year hostel. Out of the other three hostel 2 are 4 person per room with a singke fan in each room and one is 2 person per room. Sorry I have no idea of girls hostle.

The alumni network is not great because the college doesn't do anything great to maintain relationship with alumni. And very few seniors are helpful and don't expect veey intelligent seniors. There are some seniors very helpful but don't expect much from most of them.

The exam pattern is ridiculous in my view get ready to have almost a class test every week and for assignments and there are three mid semester exams out of which 2 are compulsory to give an then there is the final semester. Most of the time in first year is hectic.

I got admission through comedk first we had to give the exam and after results and rank came out I took part in the online counselling and in 2nd round I git ECE in this college but in extended round I got CSE. Then I had to come to bangalore for document verification and after document verification I got the allotment letter which I had to take to my college and then finish the admi procedure there which involved 2 hrs.

Most of the faculty are helpful if you are just interested in class but you won't get much support from them if you do anything extra. Most of the faculty come with there notes and books and teach from them only take those notes or books from them and you will get to know there teaching. And be careful as the marks are considered the golden standard for measuring a student's potential.
