Likes

Here , the campus Life is amazing. You get a large campus of 180 acres filled with several trees , parks & playground.
Infrastructure is great. Classes & laboratories are modified to the today's life extent.
Faculties are awesome. They make sure you get all the thing right.

Dislikes

Things which students don't like about IGIT is it's so hot in summer here .
As it is situated near the industries area , it is always full of dusts.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties here are mostly done PhD 's in great institutes like iits & other overseas colleges. I chose MME because it gives me opportunity to get placed in companies inside Odisha. Faculties of this department are so cool & never hesitate to clyowr thoughts. You can get minimum one & half months of time between the term exams and these exams are easy to score good marks.

Class Size: 78Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Student here get 2 opportunities for internship i.e once in 2nd year & another in 3rd year for 2 months . Companies like HAL , BSP , RSP , Nalco, Tata , Jindal TCS provide paid internship to the students.

Placement Experience

Here , students become eligible for campus placements after 6th semester. Companies like Tata steel , Jindal , Adani , Imfa , Wipro , L&T , Axis Bank JSW & many other companies visit & students get hired. Highest package here has gone upto 12lpa & the average is 4.5lpa. Almost 70% students get placed .

Fees and Financial Aid

In general, the fees for core branches like Electrical , Mechanical, Civil , Metallurgy , Chemical & production engineering is 30000 per year . For non-core branches like Electronics & computer science, it may extend upto 70000 per year. If you find hard to pay fees here is the facility of loan for education. This college also provides scholarship like E-Medhabrutti , Post-matric Scholarship & Kalia etc.

Campus Life

Campus Life in IGIT is really amazing. You will get to attend various fests every month. Fests like Horizon, Fun-fair, Aarohan, Aadmintium, Vistaar, Cosmic, etc will make you feel worth it about the college. Classrooms in IGIT are provided with smartboards & projectors. The library is one of the coolest places to study. Various clubs like Anonymous, Drishya360, and cricket club are run by students.

Admission

The process to get into IGIT is same as other engineering colleges i.e by appearing jee mains. Application form for JEE is in the website of NTA. After qualifying in jee you can get in this college in the branches in accordance with the rank you get. Reservation is here only for SC , ST & EWS categories.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good. Thats precisely why i chose this college . The highest offer last year was 52 lpa . Other than that average package is 6 to 8 lpa for cse students . Mostly all students get placed . A few companies that come for placements are Infosys, TCS , JP Morgan , Deloitte , Bookings holidays , Cognizant, Accenture .

Placement Experience:

After 3rd semester the students are eligible for internship but after 4th sem the students are eligible for Plecement. More the 95% students get the placements. Highest package is aprox Rs.4300000 and lowest is 300000. My plan is for higher studies after getting degree.

ITER SOA is quite intimidating!!

Placement Experience:

IBM, Siemens, Philips and many other companies and even the chio makers and computer makers are also one of the main share holders in placements. For CSE department the average placements are of 15-20 lakhs but for our department the average drops down to 6 lakhs per annum.

Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology is a government college but provides much more facilities like private colleges.

In odisha we have a specific counselling procees named as OJEE counselling. In this we have to apply for many colleges as we want. I chose this college for this particular branch . Electrical engineering is a very respected branch in our college as many industries are built near this area which take students from campus selections.
