Course Curriculum Overview

Nkpsims offers MBBS course which is nearly about 4.5 yrs along with 1 yr of internship . There are about 150 students in my batch . The junior batches have about 250 students. Each department have atleast 10-12 teachers and the handle the students in 3-4 units of about 50 students . Teachers are helpful and thorough in their subjects. They have done post graduation in the subject they teach. Exams in the college are frequently taken and to be honest it is difficult to pass . But if you study throughout the year then it can be easy for you to score good marks . Usually the passing percentage of a batch is around 85-90%

Internships Opportunities

After completing the mbbs course of 4.5 yr , you have to do internship for 1 year in the college hospital. And it is compulsory or else you wont get the degree. You get monthly stipend in the internship period.

Fees and Financial Aid

In the year 2020 the fees was around 9,50,000/- It is half for OBC students. The fees has increased for the junior batches Scholarship is available as per caste and there is no campus job available for students . At the time of internship, the students get stipend from the college .

Campus Life

Annual fest is called JOSH and it is organised by the college students council . Mostly it is during the month of April. It is one of the best events of college with many sports and cultural events . All the batches and staff get to participate and enjoy. NKPSIMS has one of the best libraries amongst all the medical college and it is well maintained and has all the books required by the students. Classroom are good , spacious and well ventilated. There are many sports conducted in college like football , cricket , basketball , volleyball, table tennis , carrom, chess etc

Admission

To take admission in the college you need to appear for an entrance exam : Neet ug And should score atleast 530+ marks (year:2020) Also management seats are available but it is very costly. After entrance you need to do the state counceling and then report to the college with all the documents for admission. Some of the information documents are : 10th marksheet , 12 marksheet , caste certificate, validity , income certificate , adhar , bank account details etc and other documents required by college . Admission process usually takes one whole day . Along with that you need to to give the fees of first year via DD or RTGS . If you get other college in next round of counselling then this fees will be reimbursed. Also option is available for retaining your seat so that you can ensure your admission in the college.

I want to be a doctor so I chose this course exam are held Every alternate month, the first-second term then prelims finally University. Exams are Quite tough to pass, Anat and the physio dept make 20-30/200 passes. Biochem passes around 100/200. But it's better as you need to fight for your eligibility.
