Course Curriculum Overview :

Currently I am doing my postgraduate degree in Microbiology. I am really interested in learning about microbial world and also like to research more about their life. The faculty members of the college is highly qualified and most of them are having doctoral degrees. They are so supporting for the students.

Class Size : 23Course Fees : INR 84000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Since the course is having so many practicals rather than theories the fees is little high. Its about 42000 per semester. Also there are additional expenses luke project etc. Currently I am not receiving any scholarships.

Campus Life :

Campus is good enough which provides the students a perfect ambience for their studies. Campus is big with almost 25 acres of land. Also so many programmes arranged by different departments like arts day,food fest, sports day etc. College also provide a well facilitated library with any time access through online also.

Admission :

I got admission through mgu cap allotment process and I secure my admission in merit quota. The eligibility of my course is a degree in life science. Eventhough there was reservation for my category I got admission directly to merit seat.

One of the best institution in kerala.

Placement Experience:

There are departments with placements and university has got a placement cell. There are also various career guidance classes, Innovation and entrepreneurship development centre(IEDC) to support students. But my course is more of a research oriented and as such I can apply for phd opportunities myself. The faculties will help in getting internships, recommendations and journal publications as long as long as we are interested.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Talking about the course, as it is a pg course the main thing is the effort we put in this subject. The teachers has a limit and it is always the effort we put from our side to complete the course. Frankly speaking, the course is a tough one. Syllabus is so long that many things are there to study.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is to be updated. The university provides a weak syllabus and the system of conducting examinations are outdated. Exams are not in time and the results are delayed. Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for the placement in their final year of the course. We have BS-MS, MSc, IPhD and PhD currently. Students from BS-MS are more likely to be placed. Though placement is less as students mostly go for research after masters. We have a placement cell that notifies about the opportunities in industries and academia. As my plans are to pursue a PhD after getting this degree so I never got interested in placement opportunity.
