Course Curriculum Overview

I choose civil engineering because I had interest in that course. The faculty is to student ratio is about 1:60 in our college. The qualification of the faculty in our college are tremendous as they have passed out from many prestigious colleges and the teaching methods are good.

Internships Opportunities

There are many internship opportunities provided in our college like TCS and in that internship program many opportunities were provided on the basis of the rank qualified . The internship program provides a good certificate value which will lead to a very selection in a good company or job

Placement Experience

3rd semester students are eligible for campus placements and prepare for higher examination such as UPSC SSC and using our BTech degree. In our sector the Larsen and Turbo company and other companies are very much interested to choose civil student rather than any other student from any other branch.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology is a government funded college the fees in our college are really good and affordable for all the students. Our college also have really good campus with high lpa.

Campus Life

The name of the annual fest of our college is a Rohan and the name of the Techfest is Horizon. Every type of books and journals are available in our college. Our college supports all types of sports including volleyball football cricket etc and also our college support extra curricular activities such as singing dancing painting and many more.

Hostel Facilities

In the boys hostel of our college the hostel rooms are provided with four tables and four beds with shelves for things. Here in boys hostel the quality of the meals are really good and the menu is also good as we have non veg in 5 days in a week

Hostel Fee: INR 43000 per year

Admission

Eligibility of the course is depends upon the ranks in JEE main and the OJEE system. We can find the application form and the application fees and application dates in the website. Spot admission in our college can be improved in a better manner.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.
