Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed ECE course and it's a good course as it is semi core so we will learn both IT parts and electronics parts. The electronics industry is a never ending and ever growing industry so it provides great placement.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Internships Opportunities

You can do internship in the companies of your choice from government institute to private ones. The process is also easy you need to get approval from both the company and college to go on a intership periods.

Placement Experience

After the 6th semester students are eligible to get campus placements. The placements are quite decent ranging from 4LPA to 15LPA. There are so many companies like TATA, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Mindtree etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

All the government scholarships are available for all as per the criterias . And one can apply and get them easily by providing proper documentation. The amount of scholarship varies from one another and as per casts also . The complete course fee varies from 1.6Lakhs to 3 lakhs

Campus Life

The college has many clubs like acting, singing, dancing, photography,robotics and so on . And all the clubs are active and working at best. It also has a great library for different studies. All the classes are spacious and have smart boards and other stuffs.

Hostel Facilities

It also provides hostel for the top students. And every year the cut-off changes and has limited number of seats. The room accomodate 1 to 4 students . Quite spacious rooms with all facilities. The food quality is also very good

Admission

You need to clear JEE exam to get eligible for the selection process. It's the 3rd best government college of odisha so cut off is quite high ranging from 50000 to 400000.The admission process is quite simple and fast. Reservation also applicable and can get off in admission

Faculty

The faculties students ratio is quite good. We have both gender faculties. Faculties are highly educated some are from respected IITS and NITS. They are very knowledgeous and helpful in every situation.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.
