What Students Say

Likes

The courses offered are great- we have aerospace, gaming, biotechnology, architecture and many more.
All faculty are doctorates and well qualified to teach their respective courses.
The campus is pretty and green, since the college is away from the city, the air is fresh and the weather is plesant.

Dislikes

Lack of faculty for certain courses, like mine.
Being online due to construction work not being complete.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as I was intrigued by astronomy and space physics from a young age, thus, opting for an engineering degree in the same major, i.e, aerospace was always my plan. The faculty for this course are very limited, however, are well qualified. The terms exams and their difficulty levels lie on the professor and the course, however, are managable with regular overview and reading materials from reference books and such.

Placement Experience

For placement, university offers a course and allows us to attend all the in-campus placement. The placement training team is helpful and makes sure that we get placed in our dream company. Placement is open for students in the last semster of 3rd year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I personally did not recieve any financial aid, and do not know if any is provided. However, compared to other universities, the course provided is in good ratio to the fees paid. Companies do come on-campus during placements, and we may apply.

Campus Life

Life on campus is great, however since it's a new university the ammenities aren't completely available, but basic requirements are fulfilled. There are lots of clubs for various domains, and lots of regional clubs as well who are constantly organising events. The library is well built, books for almost all courses is available along with journals and other reference materials. Sports ground and courts for indoor sports are available as well, with constant events happening on campus.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel allotment is an easy process with it being done according to recieved cgpa and class attendance. The facility is moderately good, however the hostels are still under construction. The mess food is hygenic, and offer variety. PGs are available within 1km radius of the campus

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

The admission was via the univeristy's own entrance exam : VITEEE, which was a proctored online exam, syllabus same as JEE (11th and 12th grade- PCM). The application form was available on the university website, and other brochers online on facebook and such.

After 6th semester you will Elligble for in campus placement and their are many internship and placement providing apps which are connected with our college like Internshala and our college also has own incubation center where students can brings their startup ideas and if they like your startup they will invest on it and student also got chance to get internship on that and got certificate and highest package is of 1.2 cr off campus and Average pacakge is of 5 to 6 lpa and their is basically 85 to 90% placement rate and my plan is to become ai ml engeener and grow in AI area

so in our college 1st year we have 2 semesters and n 2nd year we have 3 semesters and in 3rd year we have 3 semesters so 8 semesters already get completed and students are eligible to sit in placement from 3rd year . You can get internships in 3rd year as well if you have good grades and you are ready to grind . Talking about companies that visit for placements are Delloite , JP morgan Palo alto, De shaw and Co. My plan is to just have good gpa and get job asap

there are not much chances of placement as the student strength has increased drastically, students become eligible for placement from 3rd year, also as per the documentations there are more than 12z companies like hcltech, microsoft etc but not every documentation is correct so the chances of getting placed at campus is significantly low so i am planning to pursue higher studies and opting for gate

Placement Experience:

You become eligible to sit for placements in 7th semester , that is , in your 4th year. There are companies like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, Axxela, American Express, BNY Melon, Adobe , Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Optum, Oracle, etc. But in other IITs which are also 2nd generation, more companies (around 50) comes for on campus placements . The highest pay is mostly for Software development and Quant roles. Last year it was around 1 Cr per annum of a Computer Science student which is really great. And the average package was around 25-26 Lakhs per annum. Last year , around 88% of all students including B.tech and M.tech got placed with decent salary.

Life at MITS , Gwalior

Placement Experience:

The Placament in MITS are decent, especially for the computer science and IT branches , with companies like TCS, wipro, infosys visiting regularly. Average packages range from ?3.5 to ? 6 lpa , and some students get higher offer from off campus drives. Overall, the T&P cell of Mits gives every details for the companies coming.

other college i applied were vssut , jaypee noida , cutr, silicon but i choose vit bhopal because i wanted to study outside my state and bhopal was closer . So admission process is you have to give an exam called vitee and to get in to vit bhopal in category you gotta have rank under 45K to study in cse core branch and for AIML branch you need rank under 55K and for studying in Cyber security and cloud computing it should be under 70K . if you get anything above 70k its hard to land in a good cse branch under category 1 fees....Read More
