Course Curriculum Overview

I love technology and had a interest to learn about electronics circuits..how chipsets motherboards are made in laptops and phones. There are overall good and helpful faculty. Faculty have been in IITS AND NITS for PG AND MTECH. Engineering is hard you you need to study well to get good cgpa and score well

Internships Opportunities

College provide private internships but if you want some paid internship you ha e do it out campus. For that you should upskill you leve of skill as compared to the other students of you class. Yiu should get atleast 3 internship in 4 years

Placement Experience

After 5th sem yku are elegible for placement. Adani group, tcs, Wipro, infosys, and many more companies including every branch comes to hire students. According to me 22 is highest package and 3 is the lowest offered. More than 90% students get placed every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a SSC course its costs 70000 approx and exta fees for hostellers. I have choose post matric scholarship which gives 20000 per year of college. 80000 in 4 years. Placement are also good you should have some better skills for good placement package

Campus Life

Horizon, aarohan, vistaar, quantico etc are thw fests. Library is one of the best i have ever seen.. Every book required for yiu semester will be available for issuing including gate, cat etc. Class rooms are well decorated with fans and smart boards and black boards and well cleaned benches with marble flooring and cctv supervision. Kabbadi, volley, cricket, football, badminton, basketball for both boys and girls are played widely and nicely.

Hostel Facilities

1 year hostel is very nice but only a limited no...of student get seats in hostel. 2nd year hostel is not so good. However food is very protein rich and hygienated. 3rd year abd 4th hostel have wifi system per room. And very good and meditating environment. Basketball courts and badminton courts are also in the hostels

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

In ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING you should have a good rank in the JEE EXAMINATION, minimum 170000 rank. And you should have a interest in technology and electronics. Application form is available in college website, including application dates and course fees

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.
