Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for PGDM Core among the three courses offered at the college - PGDM Core, PGDM BFS, and PGDM HR. My decision stemmed from a desire to explore various domains before deciding on my specialization. The college comprises highly experienced faculty members who are alumni of esteemed institutions in India and abroad, the faculty brings a wealth of knowledge to the classroom. Many of the faculty members also have industry experience, offering students valuable insights derived from practical scenarios. The teaching methodology primarily revolves around case studies, providing a practical and real-world perspective on the concepts. With a faculty count of around 50, the college maintains a conducive student-to-faculty ratio. The academic calendar is structured into six terms, each spanning three months. The evaluation process includes both mid-term as well as end term exams and if one focuses in the class well then it is not difficult to score well in exams.
Internships Opportunities
More than 100 companies visit the campus for SIP as well which includes BMS, Piramal, GEP, Medtronic, etc and the roles include Product Management, Sales and marketing, consulting, etc. For the 2022-24 batch, the average stipend stood at Rs 74800 & highest was Rs 280000.
Placement Experience
The placements are quite decent, the average package for the 2021-23 batch stood at Rs 17.01 lakhs, with the highest package of Rs 50 lakhs. Over 100 companies actively participate, covering both summer internships (SIPs) and final placements. Notable companies such as Vedanta, Deloitte, Shell, Praxis Global, and Tata Motors, among others, provide a diverse array of opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee of the college is on the higher side in comparison to other colleges within the same league, Rs 19,75,000 for the entire course, exclusive of hostel fees. Hostel accommodation, if available, incurs an additional cost of approx Rs 3,00,000 per year. Hence, the total cost can reach around 26-27 Lakhs. However, the college provides opportunities for fee waivers to select students based on specific criteria but the number of such students is only 15-20 in a batch of 400+.
Campus Life
The campus is really small, and the whole batch can't get hostel accommodation even, but the infrastructure is pretty well, and all the amenities are available for the students. The college has a vibrant and dynamic student-driven culture, multiple clubs, committees, and societies conduct events in the college throughout the year. From Coventus to TedX and the CHRO conclave, students are consistently engaged in diverse activities that cater to various interests. The annual management fest Kritva is organized in February where multiple competitions are organized by different student bodies and sees participation of students from colleges across the country.
Admission
The college primarily considers CAT/XAT scores. Applicants are required to complete a comprehensive application form that delves into various aspects of the candidate's profile, extending beyond academic achievements. The shortlisting for interviews is based on an overall profile evaluation and is not limited to the CAT/XAT score only. After the release of interview shortlists, candidates are required to appear for the interview which usually lasts 15-20 minutes. The interview incorporates an extempore segment as well. The application fee currently is Rs 2200 + 18% GST. The admission process is merit-based, with no reservation benefits. Applicants can always reach out to the admission committee for any doubts they may have during the application process.
Interview Experience
The admission process at the college does not include a Group Discussion (GD) round. Instead, students are directly shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) round which usually lasts 15-20 minutes. During the interview, the focus is on the candidate's profile, interests, and awareness of current affairs. It includes a range of topics related to the candidate's background and the global scenario. In the extempore segment, candidates are usually given a topic based on current affairs. Therefore, for the interview preparation, one should have a well-rounded understanding of current events worldwide.
