Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this branch because I was getting this branch and one of senior from my coaching classes studied the same course from my college and currently is in good position. There is 1 teacher for every 50 to 60 students for every subject. Teachers are highly qualified studied from abroad too. Exams are conducted on a regular basis in a semester there are 2 quizes for 10 marks for each subject 1 mid sem exam of 25 marks and end sem exam of 50 marks and 5 marks on assignment for every particular subject.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 1600000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The companies which gives internship are amazon , flipkart and the highest stipend is around 1.5 lakhs. The only project I know right now is from the club robolution for various events like hackathon.

Placement Experience

From the third year students go for internship. No of companies visit our college like goldman sach, Google, Microsoft, Tcs , oyo , flipkart, amazon, etc. Highest package is around 56 lakhs and average package is around 14 lakhs. 80 to 90 percent students get placed. My plan is to join the army.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is quite high . But you can easily get educational loan. Per semester fees is around one lakh sixty to seventy thousand. There are many scholarship GP Birla . The placement is quite good for all the branches.

Campus Life

Annual fest is bitotsav which is mostly conducted in Feb or March every year and tech fest is pantheon which is mostly conducted in November. All types of books are available in library. Sports and other cocurricular activities are often conducted. Ehaas , Dhwani, Robolution.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are not that big . You don't get a single room in the first year. But the hostels are quite good and maintained on a regular basis . Mess food is good as compared to other colleges and the menu is created by the students only and is followed strictly. You can only Register for the hostel at the time of your admission.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

Firstly one should have minimum 75 percent in his/her 12th boards exams to be eligible for jee mains exam. Application form is available on nta website and all the other informations as well are available on nta. No there is no as such improvement I would like to see.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More

Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
