SRCC-GBO My Experiences

Being from the chemistry background I needed to learn all the important aspects of how a business operates and this course offers ample learning opportunities. Since the batch size is small there is very good Faculty-Student Ratio. Faculty members are well experienced and have been in the industry for couple of years. The teaching method is student centric. A healthy mixture of personal and group assignments,case studies methodology and interactive video content to ensure student engagement. The term exams are conducted on a timely basis and if a student has paid sufficient attention in the classes the exams are moderate to difficult. The question test the practical application of the concepts taught in the classes.

The placement committee of our college works to the best of their potential to bag diverse roles for the summer internships for the entire batch. Roles offered were ranging from Sales and Marketing , Analytics and Strategy, Human Resources and Finance. The projects which students get under these internships get experiential learning.

The placement committee in our college works very hard to bring the best opportunities,roles and packages across all domains for the entire batch. According to glimpse of the placements for the batch 2021-2023 mentioned in official Linkedin account the average placement is 13,48,000 Lakhs per annum and the median package is 13,00,000 per annum. The prominent roles are offered in the field of Finance, Marketing , Analytics and Strategy and many more. Almost all the students in the batch gets placed, The students are eligible for the placements after the completion of their Summer Internships The students in the third semester are eligible for placements. After getting the degree I am planning to work in the field of Strategy.

The fees for the entire two year Post Graduate Diploma In Global Business Operations course is 3,20,000. That is 1,60,000 per year. Hostel Facilities are very limited. The Cost To Sudy is quite low as compared to other MBA Colleges and therefore the Return On Investment which you gain from the college is exceptional.

The library in Shri Ram College Commerce hold variety of books thereby assisting the students a very access to strengthen their conceptual knowledge.The research papers and journals guide students regarding the application of such concepts. There are variety of clubs and committees in college: 1- Placement Committee 2- Training and Development Committee 3- Agrata For HR 4- Finantrix For Finance 5- Data Factory for Data Analytics 6- Ekatva For Sports and many more. A number of opportunities are provided by the these committees and clubs for the overall development of the students in the batch. Regarding the activities Industry Interaction Sessions are conducted on a periodic basis to help students get well versed with the current industry trends and learn from the best. An Annual Management Conclave is conducted named as "Yugantar" in which various interaction sessions,guest lectures and case competitions are conducted.

Shri Ram College Of Commerce Post Graduate Diploma In Global Business Operations admisssion manadates a minimum 50 % in a recognized Bachelor's Degree with a relaxation of 5% for certain categories ( SC,ST,OBC,CW,PWBD). Applications in final year can also apply but admission is provisional based on qualifying degree results. The application form can be found on SRCC website. Regarding the application fees is 2500 rupees (For General,OBC) and 1500 rupees ( SC,ST,EWS,PwBD Categories) Application Dates: 11.12.2023 to 24.01.2024 Regarding the admission process: 1- Written Examination (75% weightage) 2- Group Discussion (10% weightage) 3- Personal Interview (15% weightage) The written examination is 640 marks consisting of 4 sections each section carries 160 marks. Each section carries 40 questions. The marking pattern is +4 marks for correct answer and -1 marks for wrong answer. I think there is sufficient detail while screening the students in admission process.

The admission process consists of three stages : 1- Written Examination ( 2 hours duration) : 4 Sections each containing 40 questions. the marking pattern is +4 for correct answers and -1 for wrong answers. This is a Computer based examination conducted across various centres in the country. 2- Group Discussion Round: Topics covered in GD are not specific. They could revolve around current Economic events,Important Business news or any kind of abstract topic. 3- Personal Interview Round: This primarily revolves around two things Number One: Your Personality (Your achievements,hobbies etc) Number Two: Why do you want to join the course and what are your expectations? Number Three: Your past academics and lastly how well you are aware with your sorroundings meaning your acumen regarding current events happening. For these rounds preparation two things are essential First You must be thorough with your acacdemics and Second You must read newspaper on a daily basis.
