Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I am in the interest of Entering into IT industry,so I opt for Computer Science and I got that through Counselling itself.I personally suggest , to get wide exposure to various fields in IT, go with CSE or IT.In the college we are 64 students in a class. And We had Quality Teachers who are specialized in their domains teach for us.Most of the teachers were highgly Qualified in their Subject Knowledge and Skills,But will help you in smaller things also which you struggle to come up with. The teaching methodology is majorly focused on Outside classroom and you are free to learn many things apart from the heavy books you have for exams.you can learn as much as you can, but no worry about academics as University Prepartory classes(UPC) near the semesters will help you out for clearing your semesters.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

During the course, almost most of the students are provided with the oppurtunities to pursue an Internship and you can find the companies that visited the campus in the college website itself.Everyone is free to go for Internships in many companies to get industry exposure and college will provide Internships from various companies after you successfully complete the placement drives followed by full time oppurtunities.

Placement Experience

4.5

The campus placement drives starts at 6 semester itself(pre final year) and will expand throughout your final year even behind. The Trainings for Placements are incredible as Various staffs are there to coordinate and provide support for you during the period. There will special trainings for those who want to continue their specific goals like AIML,Pega and so on.The More Input(effort) you give, the more easier yoou get placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you get into Counselling you can assume around 1-3 lakhs with hostel which is little high but you can get many scholarships or loans fulfilling various categories. The Cost to Study is increasing year on year, denoting heavy competition for getting into here. Before Joining,Try to visit college so that you can got to know whether the fees suits your financial situation. You are free to go for Internships and so you can put some money for education. The placement cell and the Department Support will be always there,You can expect around 3-5 companies during campus placements in a week.Your Knowledge,Skill and Behaviour decides what package you will get.But there will be Support for Higher Educations and others also. The only thing is you have to go and get your opputunity and dont wait till it comes.

Campus Life

4

The college fests here are Just awesome where you will enjoy the entire day with everyone. Those days will be very enjoyable and you will have cherished memories .The primary Celebration is TAKSHASHILA which is annual fest and you will have other Tech Fests,Sports fest and Symposioums at regular Intervals. Not only studies are focused always but smaller meetings, guest invites, lectures which refreshes your mind. You can find enormous vast collection of books on various topics in library so there is no vacuum from where to learn. We have digital trainings also these days which enables you learn apart from textbooks. There are many clubs actively running in the college where your contributions are always welcomed.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The Facilities provided in the room are quite good and adjustable for accomodation. You will get the basic requirements fulfilled. The Meals menu is different for each day and follow weekly plan. The food is good.I suggest you stay up in hostel if you are coming from far place and if you stay outside , it will be helpful for you internship as you dont need to travel daily during your internships. You can opt for Hostel and Mess when you coming for admission itself.Otherwise prefer to stay in rooms with friends or PG near your Internship company itself.

Admission

My Batch admissions was fully online due to COVID situation. I applied through Anna University and got into this college through Counselling Rounds. The Eligibility is you have to complete the Higher Secondary Education (12th) for first year or else you can directly enter into second year as lateral entry after completing Diploma (3 year) Course after 10th. Admissions can be done via Anna University Counselling or Direct Admissions through Management Quota. For Anna University counselling, you can directly apply through online after your HSE exams. Direct admissions can be done by directly going to college or visiting college website (citchennai.edu.in). The marks you get will decide your seat (merit) and the cutoff is steadily increasing year on year which denotes it's a good college.

The specific aspect which is great future on IT Field of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course. The curriculum prepared me to solve tough real-world logical aptitude test and coding test. The course curriculum is only based on the theory in several areas. My suggestion is to improve that too in practical manner for better real-world understanding. The frequency and the timing of my exams along with my perspective on the difficulty level is 2hrs.
