Remarks

Overall I am happy with my decision to chose IIIT ranchi. Still various development needs to be made including own departments, hostel and college campus as till know we are under the campus of nit Jamshedpur.

Entrance Preview

Jee mains. That's the only way to get here for Indian students. There are no interviews taken, only written examination. I chose it because of IIIT tag.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is average. More focus is on theory rather than practical learning. IIIT ranchi is under supervision of nit Jamshedpur, hence no initiative is directly taken by college.

Placement Experience

Till now IIIT ranchi has not had any placement.The college has been started last year (2016). There are only 2 year students.The college will see its first placements in 2020.

College Events

Our feats both technical and cultural are under Nit Jamshedpur. We share the fests with them. OJASS-the tech fest, is largest fest of East India with prize money worth 22lakhs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's based on parents income(P. I) If P. I >5Lkh- combined fees is 1 lakhs per semester while for financially weak students, there is fee waiver.

Fees and Financial Aid

No the college has no scholarship of their own.But we do get benefits from state government, central government and various private sectors.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are good here.There are ample opportunities for sports, cultural activities etc. Proper inductions are taken and training are provided.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is excellent. It's single rooms. Need to pay Rs 16500 for mess and approx Rs 15000 for rooms per semester

Exam Structure

No its normal The exams are easy to give.

Faculty

The teachers are averagely qualified. The standard is normal but they are fairly interactive. Mostly are PhD ranked. The focus is on theory.

Placement of this college are very good. From 7th semester students are eligible for on campus placement. And also from 6th semester students are eligible for internship opportunities. Top mncs like Google, microsoft, amazon, nvidia etc. visited the college for placement

AFFORDABLE EDUCATION WITH SCOPE FOR GROWTH

Placement Experience:

after 7 th semester we are eligible for placement a very companies come here to visit cause earlier some of companies comes here but they don't get quality student so they just stop to coming here however for palcement top candidates are selected and sent to tecno india kolkata as this college is managed by tecno india group where after interview they got placement so if you have good knowledge and coding skills may be you got a interview call some companies like acceture and wipro comes here the ece branch and cse branch got some placements. i don't know the exact numbers but in last year around 25 offers was made among which the most paying was 9 lacs per annum secured by a senior name harsh dwivedi from cse branch here's the profile linkedin. com/in/harsh-dwive di-208b00228/. most of the students from opt for higher studies or psus through GATE and my objective is also same opting for M.TECH.

Great campus life and Good opportunities

From 5th sem you become eligible for campus placement Around 200 companies visit and the placement percentage stats is around 70 percent The highest package is 1.41 crore and the average package is around 10 lpa I will do job for a year and go for higher studies

In my college, placement is not too good as i here from my seniors that in campus placement offers on average 3 to 4 lakh per year and the highest 6-7 lakh. And highest off campus placement that student get offer is 9 lakh per year

The college is almost good for a low budget and also good for middle class student with tier three college

Choose Future, not Present

I had several other options like NIT Hamirpur, NIT Durgapur, BITS Pilani etc... Now in all the tier 2 nits i would have got either metallurgy or civil at the best but in BITS Pilani i could've got ENI but the fees there was 33 lkh for all the 4 years so it was not affordable for me. This was the best option keeping in mind my rank, roi and fees. You can get here by applying for jossa or csab after you have given jee mainsa and you will get a seat if you get good rank....Read More
