Remarks

The management of college is sometimes not up to the mark. The faculty concentrates more on the learning aspect than giving multiple assignments to students.

Entrance Preview

I gave the entrance exam JEE-Main to go into my college. Then I applied via the CAP round, and according to my preferences I was allocated Thadomal Shahani Engineering College. There was no interview process that was followed. I choose Computer engineering as I liked coding and wanted to explore more of it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course which I opted is good, though there is a lack of some newer technology concepts, while some of the syllabus is outdated. We had practical learning for almost all the subjects. No Research Initiatives were taken by the Institute. The elective options were Advance Algorithms, Image Processing Soft Computing, Software Architecture, Computer Simulation and Modeling.

Internships Opportunities

The college did not provide any internship. We had to apply for internships from outside sources. The experience was average. Average stipend amount is 7000-10000.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement scenario was good enough. Almost 90% of students got placed through mass recruitment. The major companies which visited the college were Accenture, Mastek, Seclore, LNT, Delloite, etc. The average package is 3,00,000-3,50,000 Rupees.

College Events

4.5

The cultural fests is Trifles and technical fests are ISAAC, Technext and Managerial Fests are Carma, Speaktacular which are organized on campus. They were pretty big as whole college would participate. The organization and the college authorities were cooperative.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was not affordable at all. Fees were high but the facilities provided were not good enough. Fee from 1st year to 4th year was in range of 1,22,000-1,40,000

Fees and Financial Aid

The college did not provide any scholarship. But there were other institutes which provided scholarships through the college, which I availed.

Campus Life

3.5

The college has many events like dance, cultural, technical festivals, and sports. There were ample opportunities to explore my inner talent. There are facilities like auditorium for the cultural fests.

Hostel Facilities

3

No I am residing in a hostel. Yes, I know about Hostel Rooms which are on sharing. Yes, they had PGs. Food was moderate, price not known.

Alumni/Alumna

There was no platform for alumni interaction.

Exam Structure

The exams were according to the university guidelines, thus there were 2 periodic tests and 1 final semester exam in each semester. Labs were allocated for almost each subject, thus I would feel tired at the end of the day, when there were many labs on a single day.

Faculty

4

The faculty is qualified and good enough in terms of experience. They interact with students in case of difficulties. Also, doubts are entertained. The standard of teaching is moderate.
