Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curirculum (which is CBME curriculum)is somewhat lame considering the logbook and record we have to maintain for every subject , otherwise it's good and heavy load of subjects are over our heads ????, but I am enjoying it. Faculty student ratio is like 1 to 10 approximately for every subject Teaching methods is through PPT , SGDs and through discussion Exams and results are timely ( except in some department like now I am in second year and micro department is comparatively slower)

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is like okay, it's affordable There are some scholarship opportunities but lessor for students like us which is not from kerela As I am in second year now , I don't have much idea about campus job ,but our house surgency pay is about 30k , and our professors hold a good amount which is evident from there appearance

Campus Life

5

Life at campus is like very nice, like we hv so many functions all year, every month there will be some party and some celebraties or special person will be invited on that event. Classrooms are fine some which are very old were not good, but that also we are improving and renovating it. All types of sports football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, khokho etc are played here and so many sports fest like interzone, northzone , intermedicoes conducted every year and our college got the trophy so many times So many social groups like parent care unit, rooh ( started by our batch) and a lot are there for women problems and other problems

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel facilities are comparatively bad of all my college life , talking about room it's like when we came we six people were in one small room which is like very congested, now we reduce to 4 but this also is so much if we think according to study point of view, hostel is old and not well maintained Meal is like very bad I it actually like can't explain in words Registration process was not a problem and it was easy Locality is nice we can get everything on walking distance

Admission

Admission procedure was very smooth,I got to know from ncc site my concealing date, I reached kerela 1 day before from Bihar, for admission it barely takes 2 hours and everything was done very nice I got the benefit of EWS creteria from all india kota

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a bit tough rather than other courses (professional courses) MBBS is a 4 year course with 1 year compulsory internship dealing with a total of 13-4 subject over the 4 years The curriculum prepares us for the real world experiecne but more often the clinical subjects aim in patuent student interaction that overall help in the achievemnt of professionalism The frequency if exams are very high as there needs to be regular revision of subjects in order to prepare for the finals and perfect in all clinical theory and oractical aspects

Reviewed on Nov 30, 2024(Enrolled 2021)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is of high relevance as it ensures that the student learns everything he need to learn in an mbbs life to become a good doctor. The curriculum we are now following is decided by the National Medical Council (NMC) of India and is CBME curriculum. The curriculum include many Self directed learning methods and small group discussions etc which makes the learning interesting and easy. The curriculum definitely prepares the students to become a good doctor in future. Some minute improvements are still required like no need of these many SGDs for community medicine and forensic. It'll be better to include more field activities in community medicine . The frequency and timing of exams are sometimes a burden for the students as the exams are so close and they are not getting enough time to improve themselves which may affect their confidence. Sometimes the exams are scheduled in between some meets conducted by university which makes it difficult for the students to participate.
