- A ground is absent in our college which is a great disadvantage.
- Cultural programs and fests are not held quite often in here .
- They don't allow the students to use the lift and wifi facilities.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested about medical field and so wanted to pursue this course . Our college has about 75 faculty members with great knowledge and experience. Their teaching method is also good and the college is also strict about the attendance. College puts a stress on the academics and tries best for the development of students . Most of the faculty members are PhD and also are highly experienced. We have 6 months for one semester. Within that time period,we need to give 4 internals,2 practical exams and then the semester exam. Semester papers are quite standard in nature and needs hardwork for sure
Internships Opportunities
Our college provides placements from various companies like MedPlus, Apollo, mankind Pharma, cognizant, Wipro, macleoids,Sunpharma etc. Facilities are available for both m.pharm and b.pharm students. They also provide hospital and industrial training from the 6th semester onwards.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placement from 6th,7thand 8th semester after interview. Most of the students get placed from here . College is also trying to develop the placement facilities. Grooming classes are held for proper training.
Fees and Financial Aid
Honestly saying I don't get any scholarships as my father is a government official. My family's annual income exceeds the limit specified in all the scholarship's terms. About the fees hike policy, we didn't get much affected by that,however the newer students taking admission in the college faced a major problem due to the sudden increase in course fees.
Campus Life
We didn't have any such fests in our college. however we get various seminars and cultural events . As for the library,our college has one of the best library compared to other pharmacy colleges of West Bengal. It has various books on various subjects,both old and new . Classrooms are provided with security cameras, projectors , sufficient fans and light. College is further trying to increase the facilities by setting up new advanced labs and machines. Sports and extracurricular activities are greatly encouraged here. Sports takes place every year for a span of 1 week time with various types of games,both indoor and outdoor. Our college has different clubs and website for the college is also well developed. Photography club, music club, sports club etc are present.
Admission
Eligibility of the course was 10+2 with physics, chemistry and maths as compulsory. I went through the West Bengal joint entrance examination. Based on the score secured in chemistry+physics, pharmacy rank was generated. I went through 3 rounds of counseling process and ultimately in the last round this college was allotted to me. The college also provides few reservation seats . However one needs to pay extra charges for that. In case of counseling process, one needs to be present for physical verification and after that admission is completed. Overall satisfied with the admission process.
