An honest review of SVNIT by a student

I have a dream to become a professor so I love to complete the Msc degree and the PhD. This course also provides the research opportunities. The number of faculties is appropriate as compared to the number of students. There are less number of students for Msc course and so we have got better interaction with the faculties. All the faculties are well qualified in their own fields. There are 2 main exams one in the mid session and one at the end. It's an average exam and there is no need to prepare very hard to pass. Simple focussing on the class and regular attending the classes will be helpful to pass the exams.

For msc students, campus placement is available in the last semester ie 10th. Many teaching platforms like physics wallah, Unacademy are coming. Highest package is around 12 LPA and average is around 6 LPA Only 5-10 percent students get placement for msc After the degree my plan is to complete the PhD and become a professor

Unfortunately there is no fee remission for msc students. So considering the fees and placement package. I'd say it's not so good. There are many scholarships which can be applied with this course. There are many state wise scholarships as well as private companies scholarships like HDFC, Tata, reliance. The students get job opportunities from various teaching platforms also

Sparsh is the annual function which every student is waiting for. It is organised in February. And every year there will be freshers meet called Kashish. Almost every book related to our course is available in the library. Besides there are also many books for entertainment. We can issue books with our library cards and can use for 1 month. Smart classes are there for better understanding. Sports ground is there to play. If we are really interested we can have a good environment for sports. There are many grounds for various sports. There are many clubs like inspire club, photography club, Hindi cell run by students for various purposes.

The room is mostly 2 seated. There are two beds, 2 study tables, chairs and almirah. The room is ok and regular cleaning services is also provided. There is also LAN wifi supply. Meal is average and has a variety of items in the menu. Hostel fee is good as compared to the facilities provided

The admission process is purely based on the result of JEE MAIN exam. We have to register to JEE MAIN exam. The application fee is around rs 900. There is reservation benefits for different castes like OBC, SC, ST. Those under these category can get the admission even with slightly lower ranks in the entrance exam.
