I preferred Information and Technology course in btech. I was intrested on it so I preferred it first in btech. The faculty in CMREC is good, their teaching skills are excellent. To get seat in CMR Engineering college, you need to get a good rank in EAMCET /ECET( for lateral entry students). After my diploma I went for ECET entrance test which is conducted by Telangana government and I cleared the test with the integrated rank of 683 and a branch rank of 174.The ECET entrance test application is very easy. For application the candicate should apply it in near by Meeseva office, after the application take a printout of application form, then download a hallticket for ECET entrance test when the halltickets are released by government of telangana. After getting a good rank go through the weboptions and choose your interested colleges, and after 2,3 days time period on the basis of your rank in ecet and caste,you may get alloacted to some college and the allocated college details should be sent to your smart phone.
