Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The course at GIET Gangapatna offers a well-rounded curriculum, blending theory and practical applications. Faculty members are experienced, hold advanced degrees, and maintain a favorable student-to-faculty ratio. I chose the course for its relevance and the college's reputation. Term exams were timely, with varying difficulty, promoting applied understanding. The faculty's qualifications and teaching methods contribute to a positive learning experience.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internship opportunities at the college offer students practical experience in their chosen field. These opportunities, often facilitated through partnerships with companies, enable students to apply what they learn in class to real-world scenarios. The college's career services play a crucial role in connecting students with these internships, helping them gain valuable insights and skills for their future careers.

Placement Experience

4

The college placements are good. Many students get job offers from various companies during campus placements. It's a positive aspect, providing opportunities for students to start their careers right after graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees at GIET Gangapatna are 80,000, covering the cost of academic resources and classes. For students opting for hostel accommodation, an additional 60,000 is charged to cover housing facilities. It's important to note that these fees are subject to periodic reviews and adjustments. For detailed information or assistance regarding financial matters, students can reach out to the college's financial aid office.

Campus Life

3

Life at GIET Gangapatna is lively and diverse. We have annual events like "Harmony" for cultural celebrations and "TechXplore" for showcasing technology, usually held in [mention month]. The library is well-stocked with books and journals, supporting academic needs. Classrooms are modern with audio-visual aids for effective learning. Sports facilities cater to enthusiasts, and there are plenty of extracurricular activities for students with various interests. Social groups and clubs, like [mention specific club], run by students, create a sense of community. Students often use the college website for communication and to stay updated on events. In essence, life on campus is a blend of academics, cultural events, and a range of activities, providing a well-rounded college experience.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

If you're staying in the hostel at GIET Gangapatna, the room facilities are good, providing basic amenities. The meals served are satisfactory, and the menu offers a decent variety. The hostel registration process is simple, and the affordability depends on the room type chosen. It's recommended to check with the hostel office for the latest rates and availability. For those in the hostel, the locality is within the college campus, ensuring convenience and easy access to academic buildings and other facilities. The overall hostel experience contributes to a sense of community and enhances the college experience.

Admission

At GIET Gangapatna, the admission process is straightforward. To apply, you need to fill out an online application form available on the college website. Along with the form, submit your academic transcripts, recommendation letters, and a personal statement explaining your interest in the chosen program. For some courses, an entrance exam might be required. This exam assesses your knowledge and suitability for the program. The specific details about the exam, such as its format and content, are usually outlined on the college's admission portal or in the admission brochure. Once you've submitted all the necessary documents and, if applicable, taken the entrance exam, the college will review your application. The selection process considers various factors, including academic performance, exam scores, and the content of your personal statement. Each year, the college sets a cut-off score based on the overall applicant pool.

Interview Experience

2.5

During my admission process, there were no group discussions, interviews, or written tests. The university assessed applicants solely on the documents they submitted, which included academic transcripts, essays, and recommendation letters. There were no extra rounds or evaluations beyond the materials provided in the application. The university's focus was on the information presented in these documents to make admission decisions. This approach allowed for a straightforward application process without the need for additional assessments, making it more accessible for applicants to showcase their academic achievements and personal qualities. If you have any specific questions about the admission process, it's advisable to check the university's official guidelines or contact their admissions office for clarification.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
