Course Curriculum Overview

2

The curriculum that influenced your decision to choose this course is that in today's date, computer science is growing a lot so I decided to pursue this course. The teaching method is bad. As we know nowadays we all need outside knowledge and technical knowledge for a good placement and job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly the course fees is 95000. And additional for lab manual and semister registration. For those who are living in hostel there fees is 135000 , it includes there hostel fees and 3 times food . There is also odisha government scholarship for students.

Campus Life

3

Our college arrange annual function and annual sports at the month of January and February. The range of books in library is good. Sports and extracurricular activities offered on campus is zero. But for those who have taken NCC they have practices.

Admission

I wanted to study at soa university. I have already applied for CSE but I got selected for ECE . But after talking to the faculty they said you can get admission in CSE but you have to wait for some time. So due to some personal issues I have to take admission at GIET college.

Faculty

3

The faculty-to-student ratio is normal. The relationship between faculty and students is good with some counted teachers . As now It's my second year in btech in like the DE teacher as she is very kind hearted. And around 95 percent students including me didn't like our hod because he is very strict for no reason and also while taking class he doesn't not help students in there studies. There are like 3 exam in each semester 2 internal and one semester. The checking system is also not good.

Night Life

3

I am not a hostelor but I have an idea of the timing. Gym timing is from 6am to 8pm , cafeteria is from 7 am to 8 pm. Hostel and campus in timing is before 7 pm night anytime. No famous hangout place inside and outside the college.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
