Teachers are great and even remember name of all the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I Chose this course for nothing special reason there is no value is bcom hons this days I just needed a graduation degree with this while I pursue banking in side. The faculty is nice, and the teachers are great they teach you from the root of a topic and give variable examples to understand briefly.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The course was affordable so I don't think anyone needed any scholarship. There is no campus jobs. I got swami vivekananda scholarship from the government not the college which is great.

Campus Life

Annual fest or the freshers was nice it was conducted in December. A well known singer Snighdhajit bhowmik came to perform. We even got to take pictures with him. There is many books in the library but new syllabus books for semester 1 is still from one author and we don't have books on constitutional values. College union have a Facebook page or group for our college called Sir gurudas mahavidyalaya. The college participates in CU sports competition including cricket,football,kabaddi and more.

Admission

Admission was easy, it's a college under Calcutta university so Admission system is determined by CU.. This college feels more like a school I want a little more freedom, why do we always have to ware ID card..

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Our college known for internship program

Placement Experience:

In our college generally students get placement before the last semester exam. Lot of companies visits our college and give many placement offer opportunities to the students. The highest package was 6 - 7 LPA and on average it generally ranging from 2 to 3 LPA. About 60 to 70 percent students gets a different types of offer from different companies who visited our college, my plan is also to get a good and a decent package from our College

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after the 5th semester. A few companies like TCS visit our college every year. The average package offered is around 100000 PA I want to go for higher studies after the degree but I want some real life work experience too.

SGMIANS FOREVER

I choose this college because this college 5 minutes distance from bidhannagar station and my home is in Kakinada with allows me to go in one train and it takes the time about one hour to reach this college. I have got a chance in the serampore College which was huge distance for me to travel daily and after getting admitted in this college it seems to me that this is one of the best reasons that I have taken.
