Course Curriculum Overview

I chose BE CSE because I had interest in coding and software development. We have around 28-29 groups for each year of CSE students, each consisting of 70-80 students, each group managed by a assigned mentor. The faculty is quite qualified, consisting of professors with phD degress and great level of knowledge. We have 2 STs and then the end term exams. They are average in terms of difficulty.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Chitkara offers dynamic internship opportunites fro students pursuing CSE, proving a valuable bridge between academic learning and practical application. These internships, likely facilitated through university-industry partnerships, aim to immerse students in the real world challenges.

Placement Experience

The placements are good given the college is private, and the average package is increasing each year. Almost all the students get placements each year, mostly on campus placements from well known companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently each student has to pay 1 lakh per semester. I don't have any idea about the exact fee hike policy but I think it increases by 2000 per semester. The university has great scholarship opportunities and finanical assistance programs.

Campus Life

The life at campus is quite nice with so many events going on everywhere. Students have a huge variety of things to do in their free time on the campus including pool, every type of sports, gym etc. The library consists of all the necessary books needed by the students and can be availed easily.

Admission

Students were called for verification of documents according to their 12th board percentage. The applicaiton form can be download online from chitkara's website and then submitted at the chitkara office. Overall the admission process was quite easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

A GLANCE TO MY COLLEGE

i chose this college over other colleges becuase of its reputation , in recent years Chitkara has made its name whether we talk about placements or any other various field, it has a brand value as a private college its a quite good college,this is slightly a new college that is why boards were the criteria to get admission and other colleges i applied to took admission o the basis of JEE mains and i had not scored that good in it that is why did'nt able to clear the cutoff for my required branch, i applied t o Thapar Institute Of Technology, Patiala , Chandigarh University,Punjab, Amity University, Punjab Chandigarh College of Architecture.. i got confirmation from everywhere but just in Thapar i did not get Computer Science, The elegibility criteria in Chitkara is min aggregrate of 60% in jee mains and 70% in boards then there are several cutoffs on which the branches are given to students...Read More

I choose this college because it have a good placement ratio and packages. Here placements cell heads are helpful and teaches us about how to grab good placement. No, i didn't get a rejection from other colleges but i choose this because transportation is easy in this as compared to other colleges.
