Course Curriculum Overview

Frequency of exams is average. The level of exams is quite good. Much improvement is needed in management and timetable as not much breaks after classes are given. Day is quite hectic. They keep the students engaged in random necessary stuff

Rangrezz is a national theatre festival. The range and accessibility of books and journals available in the library. The facility of charging points and projector are processed in the classrooms. College also focuses on games and cultural activity

Both Air conditioner and coolers are available. The quality of meal is good. Hygiene is maintained in the mess. The process of hostel is simple. The hostels are quite expensive There is availability of PG or room in locality

Got addmission in this college on basis of my board exams. Cse is the most preferred course Can get addmission on basis of JEE mains score Cutoff is not so high. Addmission experience is impressive Yes I got rejection from a college

Faculty

Relationship between faculty and students in class is Good. Faculties are approachable and are ready to help you whenever you need. Kapil Agarwal Sir is the best person as the way of teaching is amazing

Night Life

There is a gym in the college which is very well equipped with all the required machines. You can roam in campus upto 12 AM There are alot places to hangout inside and outside the campus. The locality is safe to roam around in night

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Life at CGC Landran

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.

A GLANCE TO MY COLLEGE

i chose this college over other colleges becuase of its reputation , in recent years Chitkara has made its name whether we talk about placements or any other various field, it has a brand value as a private college its a quite good college,this is slightly a new college that is why boards were the criteria to get admission and other colleges i applied to took admission o the basis of JEE mains and i had not scored that good in it that is why did'nt able to clear the cutoff for my required branch, i applied t o Thapar Institute Of Technology, Patiala , Chandigarh University,Punjab, Amity University, Punjab Chandigarh College of Architecture.. i got confirmation from everywhere but just in Thapar i did not get Computer Science, The elegibility criteria in Chitkara is min aggregrate of 60% in jee mains and 70% in boards then there are several cutoffs on which the branches are given to students...Read More

I choose this college because it have a good placement ratio and packages. Here placements cell heads are helpful and teaches us about how to grab good placement. No, i didn't get a rejection from other colleges but i choose this because transportation is easy in this as compared to other colleges.
