Faculty to student ratio is decent and depends on the course or elective taken. This branch particularly is lighter and gives time to explore other interests as such. Some professors are veryyy good and interesting

cant comment much on the fee structure as such. no scholarships opportunities unless you are top of your department or EWS category. campus jobs depends on economic situation though placement at iitb is better than most iits

asia's best cultural as well as technical fests moodi and techfest are both organised by IITBombay. this speaks enough for itself. extracurriculars are vast and provide ample opportunities to explore the same

Admission

One should clear IIT JEE Advanced with a rank of 1200 or below (male general) and rank of 3000 or below (female general) for getting into Mechanical at IIT Bombay. Application starts on JOSAA as soon as you get the results

There is a portal for college student called TPO there is good placement in college for every branch but if you can't get campus placement you were allowed on tpo platform for 9 months after your complishon of your degree so there is no need to worry about placement

I got pretty good rank in jee advanced,and according to previous year trends i was sure i would land up here. Space is a constraint. More multi-story hostels like 100 floors are needed. Also, trees and wildlife need to be protected, the lake needs to be protected. Over the last 20 years, vegetation has considerably reduced lake land has encroached. MTech dropouts are an issue, top gate rankers leave college after getting PSU jobs leaving seat void.
