It was very nice experience meeting new friends
Very friendly and helping hostelmates where we use to enjoy
It is very fun for us and the teaching experience is also good

Dislikes

Hostel food is the main thing to be concluded
Gender ratio is better in non circuital branches
Not many shops to purchase things and also costly

Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to become an software engineer so I chose this cource. The student ratio is good , new teaching methods are also used by ppt slides and also intellect with students . In 4-5 months one semester is concluded

Internships Opportunities

Skill development is a must to get internship opportunities where you should have a great intent , determination and with lots of efforts you should make projects and indulge in various activities for betterment

Placement Experience

From 6th semester they are eligible if they are very skillful. Many companies like Adobe acs tisco visited. Highest on campus package was 52 lakhs . Percentage was 84% and my plans after getting a degree is good placement

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is quite high although coming under a GFTI , because being government funded fees should be less , mainly a bank is setup for education loan , most of the students takes loan only . Not such scholarship scheme

Campus Life

Annual fests are Bitotsav and pantheon where Bitotsav is a cultural fest and pantheon a technical fest . Books in the library are enough and very big Library. Sports club is very big. Special clubs are also there like srijan , dhawani etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is not that good from second year onwards. Only 4 hostels are nice which are 1,2,3,4 . They are near the main academic building so is very clean and beautiful else the hostels are not clean also.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

The hostel facility is not such good since huge intake of students by increasing the seats from this year , else it's good and teachers and professors are very friendly and always ready to help the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

BIT Mesra is mesmerizing!!

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More

GPAT score is what taken into account and in 12th 60% or more is mandatory. Also JEE scores are considered but again baby IITs level of score is required and therefore students mostly come through GPAT here....Read More

Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
