I choose Elcom because of my interest in it. Also it is beneficial to take admission in government college rather than private college. Also the cut off of rank for admission is comparably less. The faculty of any branch is on average consist of 6 to 8 professors and 2 to 5 assistant professor. The strength of any branch varies from 30 to 60. My branch consist of 47 students. The faculty of my branch is vey much qualified for their post and also many professors had acquired PhD degree and Master degree. There are 3 conducting exam , first two are internal quarterly exam followed by one external final exam. First two are of 20 to 25 marks and final is of 50 marks according to the respective courses of the degree programme. Passing category is 50 percentage of the total. Also the result type is absolute not relative.

After or from fourth semester campus placement starts. There are placement offers mostly for all the UG degree but the placement of CS programme is comparably high. Highest off campus placement starts from 8 Lakh to 95 Lakh. Percentage of students getting placement is 70 to 80 percent. My plan after getting degree is to go for GATE exam or off campus placement.

The annual fees is around 1 Lakh which consist of tution , hostel, mess fee. Although there are many opportunities for acquiring scholarship, the rate of campus jobs is very low. There are many opportunities to acquire off campus internship but in most cases for hostelers this is not good thing.

There is no shortage of fests in pantnagar. There are many events like colloseum, robotics workshops, spardha , conflux games, raazmataz, and many events. There is a well occupied University Library here whose access is given to student from the day first. Also books can easily be issued from Library. There are well conditioned classrooms and also is at very distance from hostels. There is a Stevenson stadium which consist of all types of playground, gyms and courts for sports .

In hostel, students are allotted their set of bed , table, chair , shelf , electric board ,fan with their rooms. There is a common washroom in each wings and maintained on regular basis. The hostel has its private mess for hostelers and the food quality is above average and mostly delicious. Registration and allotment for hostel is done simultaneously with the registration of course and the price is 50000 for a year which includes all the hostel and mess fee which is reasonable.

Admission is conducted on basis of ranks obtained in JEE Main examination. Reservation in the seats of branch is available on the basis of domicile, ews or sc st quota.
